Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laminated glass resistant to moisture, water and light, easily usable in life space and business space, by putting a pattern bonded through adhesive film(s) and formed out of a coloring material emitting visible rays by UV irradiation, in between plural glass plates so as to enable a fantastic pattern to be expressed efficiently without requiring much labor. SOLUTION: A pattern 2 bonded through adhesive film(s) 3 of pref. modified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer hydrolyzate and formed out of a coloring material, i.e., an inorganic fluorescent substance, emitting visible rays by UV irradiation with wavelengths of pref. 300-400 nm, is put in between plural glass plates 1 made of e.g. soda-lime glass. Preferably, this laminated glass is constructed by laminating the glass plates 1, via adhesive films 2, with both sides of a sheet-like material such as film or paper, pref. polyester film 4, bearing the pattern 2 formed as mentioned above on the surface.

EXAMPLE An ink that emits visible light by irradiating ultraviolet rays to a stretched polyethylene terephthalate film having a thickness of 100 μm (Lumilight Yusei Ink manufactured by Shinloich Co., Ltd.)
The pattern was formed by silk printing. The film on which the pattern was formed was sandwiched between two adhesive films (Takemelt F700, manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) having a thickness of 250 μm, and both sides were sandwiched between two glass plates made of soda glass having a thickness of 3 mm. This was put into a bonding machine consisting of a flat plate, a polyester film, and a gasket, which was kept airtight, and the pressure was reduced to 10 mmHg or less by a vacuum pump. Next, the container was put into a heating furnace while maintaining the reduced pressure, and the temperature was raised to 100 ° C. in 15 minutes, and then kept at 100 ° C. for 20 minutes. Next, the heating was terminated, and the temperature was lowered gradually to around 60 ° C., and then the finished laminated glass was taken out. When this laminated glass was irradiated with ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 365 nm in the dark, a fantastic pattern emerged.
