Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the halfway fitting of female and male connectors, when fitted and connected together, improve connecting workability and allow insertion with less force. SOLUTION: When a power supply side connector A' is fitted to a power receive side connector B', locking arms 54, 54' are engaged with the connector B' and temporarily locked thereto. A slider (4a) is moved forward with the rotational movement of a lever 3' to fit a connector mainbody 2 to the connector mainbody 42 of the connector B', where the locking pawl 57c of a disengagement lever 57 is engaged with the locked recess of the lever 3' to lock the lever 3'. By pushing down the operation part of the disengagement lever 57, the locking pawl 57c is disengaged from the locked recess. By pushing down the operation part of the disengagement lever 57 again, the engagement strip 54b of a locking arm 54 is rotationally moved to cancel the temporary lock of both connectors.

In the conventional power supply connector adopting the bayonet lock system, when the female and male connectors 71 and 72 are fitted together, the coupling nut 74 is rotated to stop the rotation during locking. There is a possibility that it is difficult to determine at a glance whether or not the fitting state is halfway. In addition, since the coupling nut 74 is rotated and locked so as to be tightened, the operation is troublesome and time-consuming, and the hand of the operator is hurt. Although a considerably large force is required for fitting, it is difficult to reduce the insertion force with the bayonet lock system. The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and prevents a connector from being fitted halfway, and allows a series of operations such as fitting, locking, releasing, and detaching of a connector to be performed easily and at a low level. An object of the present invention is to provide a connector having an insertion force.

When the female and male connectors are mated, the locking claw at the tip of the locking arm of one connector engages with the locking groove in the other connector to temporarily lock both connectors, thereby positioning both connectors. Then, when the lever is squeezed and turned, the slider moves forward, and is pressed by the slider, whereby the connector body of one connector moves forward toward the other connector (claims 1 and 5). If means (for example, a compression coil spring) for urging the connector main body of one connector to the slider side is provided, if the lever is released during the fitting, the spring force of the spring will be used. Since the connector main body is separated from the other connector, halfway fitting can be prevented beforehand.

At the position where the two connectors (the connector bodies thereof) are fitted, the locking claw of the release lever is engaged with the locking recess of the support piece to lock the lever. The state is stably maintained (claims 1 and 4).
To release the lock, push down the release lever operation part.
The engagement is performed by releasing the engagement between the locking claw and the locking concave portion of the operation portion (claims 1 and 6). Further, as described in claim 9, the other engagement of the lock arm is performed by pressing down again. The piece rotates, whereby the engagement between the one locking claw and the locking groove of the other connector is released, and the temporary lock is released. Thus, the female and male connectors can be fitted and connected very easily. Further, since the female and male connectors are fitted using a lever (lever), a large force is not required and the connector is suitable for multi-polarization. In addition, there is no risk that the lead wire will obstruct the advance / retreat of the connector main body inside the case of the connector by the attachment of the handle through which the lead wire is inserted, and it will not be entangled or broken.

[0010] Further, since the lock chamber having an opening on the side of the connector main body accommodating portion is provided integrally with the case and the lock arm is attached thereto, the whole connector can be formed compactly. Claim 2).
The connection between the slider and the lever is provided by providing a bifurcated support piece at the tip of one operating portion of the lever, and pivoting the slider from both sides with this bifurcated support piece. Since it is worn, the force of the lever is evenly transmitted to the slider via the support pieces on both sides, and a smooth operation can be performed.
