Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a manhole free form water leakage, slippage and earth entrance on an occasion of earthquake by a method wherein a sealing material is put in a jointing part between the upper and the lower side blocks of the manhole and a thin steel collar with a cushioning material provided at the inside is fitted externally with sealing materials attached to the upper and the lower edges thereof. SOLUTION: A side block 1 is laid at the top of a side block 2 for a manhole with a main sealing material 3 made of butylene rubber, epoxy resin or the like inserted into a socket and spigot joint A of the manhole. A thin steel collar 4 with cushioning materials 5, 5 provided on the upper and the lower parts at the inside thereof is fitted externally to the joint A while sealing materials 6, 6 are attached with a gun to the upper and the lower edges thereof, and thereby an external sealing part is formed. 壊する恐れがあり、強度的に満足させるには経済性から
も困難であった。

側塊の構造は従来の構造のまゝ簡単な構造の保護カラー
を併用するだけで良いので、施工が容易なることを相俟
って地震対応マンホール保護工法として勝れたものであ
る。
