Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive which has a suppressed stickiness and an excellent touch by dispersing porous and spherical particles of a pigment based on a silica, an acrylic resin or the like into a solution or emulsion of an adhesive. SOLUTION: This is a pressure-sensitive adhesive which is prepared by dispersing a specific amount of a pigment comprising a silica or an acrylic resin in the form of a porous and spherical particle into a solution or emulsion of an adhesive based on natural rubber, a synthetic rubber such as isobutylene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber or chloroprene rubber, an acrylic resin such as poly(butyl acrylate), or the like. A pigment in the form of a porous and spherical particle is selected from among an inorganic pigment in the form of a porous and spherical particle such as a porous and spherical silica having a diameter of several to several tens μm, and, an organic pigment based on an acrylic resin and the like, such as poly(butyl acrylate) and poly(octyl acrylate), in the form of a porous and spherical particle having numerous micropores in the surface thereof. The adhesive layer which is obtained by applying the above pressure-sensitive adhesive onto a surface of a sheet, followed by drying, has a very small abrasion coefficient and has an appropriate surface activity.

2. Description of the Related Art This kind of pressure-sensitive adhesive does not show tackiness in a dried state after being applied to the surface of a sheet, but exhibits adhesiveness when pressed under a high pressure, and after bonding. It has the property of not exhibiting adhesiveness even after being peeled off. Therefore, a two-sheet sheet in which arbitrary data is described is bonded to each other via a pressure-sensitive adhesive to form a postcard because of the advantage that data confidentiality is protected. .

[0003] Conventionally known pressure-sensitive adhesives are basically prepared by blending a filler composed of solid fine particles such as silica with an adhesive component mainly composed of a rubber component to prevent blocking. (For example, see Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No.
No. 53). The adhesive layer formed by applying the pressure-sensitive adhesive to the surface of the sheet and then drying the sheet has a reduced surface tackiness in a normal state because the filler reduces the tackiness of the rubber component. Although not shown, when pressed with a high pressure, the rubber component exudes to the surface of the adhesive layer to exhibit adhesiveness, and adheres to the other surface.

In such a conventional pressure-sensitive adhesive, in order to effectively suppress the tackiness of the rubber-based emulsion on the surface of the formed adhesive layer, a considerable amount of the rubber-based emulsion is required. It is necessary to incorporate a filler. As the solid particles as the filler, inorganic pigments such as silica or spherical resin particles are generally used.

An adhesive or emulsion containing such a filler is applied to a sheet surface as a thin layer to form an adhesive layer, and when the compounded filler particles are inorganic pigments such as silica. The sheet has extremely low lubricity on the sheet surface and gives a rough and bad feeling when touching human skin. On the other hand, when spherical resin particles are used as the filler, problems such as silica do not occur,
Due to the high affinity with the rubber component, which is an adhesive, the surface of the filler particles is covered with the adhesive, and the sheet surface shows tackiness and gives the human skin a sticky feeling peculiar to rubber. There is a disadvantage that.

That is, in the present invention, a porous and spherical inorganic or organic pigment is used as a pigment to be added to the adhesive component. As described above, silica has been used conventionally, but silica used as an ordinary pigment cannot be used in the present invention because it is porous but not spherical.

FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 are sketches of photomicrographs of commercially available acrylic porous spherical pigments (average particle size: 8 μm) taken at 1000 × and 8000 × magnification, respectively. As is evident from these figures, there are countless extremely fine holes on the surface of the particles, and these holes work to absorb the adhesive layer covering the particle surface and eliminate the stickiness of the surface. It is supposed to be.

The pressure-sensitive adhesive obtained by dispersing such a porous spherical pigment in an adhesive component is applied to a sheet surface and dried to form an adhesive layer formed of a pigment used in a conventional pressure-sensitive adhesive. Since it has an extremely small friction coefficient as compared with that obtained by using a rubber, it can suppress the stickiness peculiar to rubber while maintaining an appropriate surface lubrication and give an excellent feel. Also, the adhesiveness, surface printability and storage stability are comparable to those of the conventional one.
