Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the washing from flying out by arranging, on the opening part of a water tank, an optical sensor consisting of a light projecting part and a light receiving part arranged opposite to each other with the opening part, and stopping the rotation of a spin basket when the flying out of the washing from the spin basket in dehydrating process is detected. SOLUTION: When a spin basket 8 and a pulsator 9 are rotated at high speed by motor 5 after the rinsing of the washing housed in the spin basket 8 is finished, the washing is dehydrated. When the washing flies out from the opening part 8a of the spin basket 8, the light is temporarily shielded by the washing, and the light from a light projector 14b is not incident on a light receiver 15b, or the incident quantity is significantly reduced. A control device 13 judges from this that the washing partially flies out from the spin basket 8. On the basis of this judgment, the feed to the motor 5 is stopped, and the brake mechanism of a rotation control mechanism 6 is operated to perfectly stop the rotation of the spin basket 8.

Dehydration is performed as follows. First, the lid 2 is opened, a predetermined amount of water and a detergent are charged into the water tank 3, and mixed well. Subsequently, the laundry is stored in the dewatering tub 8, the dewatering cover CV is attached to the opening 8 a of the dewatering tub 8, and the lid 2 is closed. When the switch is turned on, the motor 5 rotates under the control of the control device 13. The rotation of the motor 5 is transmitted to a rotation control mechanism 6 via a belt 7. The mode of the rotation control mechanism 6 is set so that only the pulsator 9 is rotated by the clutch operation. Accordingly, the rotation of the pulsator 9 is controlled based on the rotation of the motor 5, whereby the laundry is washed. Next, when the washing is completed, the drain valve 12 is opened by the control device 13, the washing water is discharged, and the rinsing is performed. When the rinsing is completed, the rotation control mechanism 6 is switched to a mode in which the dewatering tub 8 and the pulsator 9 rotate by a clutch operation based on a command from the control device 13. When the switching is completed, the rotation of the motor 5 is transmitted to the dewatering tank 8 and the pulsator 9, and both rotate at high speed. Thereby, the laundry is dehydrated. After a certain period of time, when the rotation of the motor 5 is stopped, the control device 13 simultaneously activates the brake mechanism to apply a brake to the rotation of the dewatering tub 8, and the rotation is stopped in a short time.
After that, the lid 2 and the dehydrating cover CV are opened, and the laundry and dehydration are completed by taking out the laundry.

That is, when the laundry stored in the dewatering tub 8 is shifted to the dehydration process in a state where the laundry is unevenly distributed, the laundry to be washed out of the dehydration tub 8 by centrifugal force. In a normal case, although the jumping out of the dewatering tub 8 is prevented by the presence of the dewatering cover CV, when the centrifugal force acting on the laundry increases, the dewatering cover CV is lifted and the cover switch CVS is opened. Sisters,
Dehydration of the laundry cannot be performed reliably,
There is a problem that the dewatering cover CV is damaged by the jumping out of the laundry.

Next, the operation of the fully automatic washing machine will be described. After the rinsing of the laundry stored in the dehydration tub 8 is completed, the dehydration tub 8 and the pulsator 9 rotate at high speed under the control of the control device 13, and the laundry is dehydrated. At this time, when the laundry comes out of the opening 8a of the dewatering tub 8, the light is temporarily blocked by the laundry. Then, the light from the light emitter 14b does not enter the light receiver 15b, or the amount of the incident light is significantly reduced. For this purpose, the control device 13 detects that a part of the laundry has jumped out of the dewatering tub 8, and based on this, stops the power supply to the motor 5 and stops the rotation, and at the same time, the rotation control mechanism. The rotation of the spin-drying tub 8 is completely stopped in a very short time until the laundry to be completely ejected from the spin-drying tub 8 by operating the brake mechanism 6.
