切除可能とした化粧面戸で覆うことにより、少なからず
存在する屋根地の凹凸に対して極めて簡単に、且つ確実
に対応することが可能となる。従って、従来の金物を利
用した棟の構築構造のように少なくとも一部に葺土や漆
喰を使わずに完全な乾式の棟を構築することができ、工
期を著しく短縮できるのみならず、大幅な軽量化を達成
することができる。しかも、工事が簡単で熟練を要しな
いことや施工費が安価となる。また、熨斗受を発泡プラ
スチック成型品とすれば、従来のように熨斗受を支持す
る棟台等を設けることなくこれ自体で熨斗瓦を支持する
ことができ、しかも厚いのでビス等による固定がより確
実になるなど実用上極めて有益な効果を有するものであ
る。
