2. Description of the Related Art There is a system in which a channel component formed in a fixed shape is continuously connected to an open channel. The components of the waterways have been butted at adjacent ends, connected to each other by connecting metal fittings, or connected to adjacent ends by a male and female fitting method. In either case, a suitable sealing means is provided between the connection ends.

[0003] However, if the positions of the waterway constituent members are displaced due to a change over time, or if the interval is widened due to an earthquake, water leakage easily occurs from the connection portion. If a leak occurs, the water level must be lowered and the leak point must be filled with joints. For this reason, there is a high risk that the waterway will be cut off during a severe earthquake.

The coupling member 40 has a buffer 43 which can be expanded and contracted at least in a direction parallel to the direction of the water channel when the positions of the water channel components are displaced from each other, and which can absorb the extension force. On the other hand, no special measures are taken for the compressive forces that can be exerted between the connection ends. However, it is free to use a buffer capable of absorbing the same compressive force, so that the situation in which the tubes collide with each other can be reduced or prevented.

Since the present invention is constructed and operates as described above, it is possible to construct an open channel by connecting the water channel components in a continuous manner, and it is possible to prevent a time-dependent shift due to uneven settlement at the connection portion. It can absorb the external force caused by the earthquake to prevent the separation of the water channel components, and prevent water leakage by the water blocking member arranged between the connection ends of the water channel members, eliminating the risk of breaking the water channel. It works.
