Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly perform the read of bar code due to a reader by changing the color of bar code printed part lower than the other part. SOLUTION: The color of base is changed between the bar code printed part and the other part so that difference a-b between a reflection factor (a) on the bar code and a reflection factor (b) on the base of bar code printed part can be more than difference a-c between the reflection factor (a) on the bar code and a reflection factor (c) on the base except for the bar code printed part, namely, the condition of (a-b)>=(a-c) can be established and the contrast of bar code and bar code printed part can be remarkably expressed. Namely, concerning a label with bar code, a base 4 at the printed part of bar code 3 including a quiet zone 2 on a base colored label 1 is made into white base with high reflection factor and the bar code 3 is printed by ink in black with low reflection factor.

2. Description of the Related Art A label with a bar code is usually attached to a container or a case where the bar code cannot be directly printed.
Various product information such as manufacturer name, shipping source and price is obtained.
One of the containers and cases to which such a label with a bar code is attached is a mask protection device (hereinafter referred to as a mask or reticle attached to a mask or reticle for the purpose of preventing dust or the like from adhering to the mask or reticle in an integrated circuit manufacturing process. "Pellicle") storage case. That is, the pellicle storage case is affixed with a color-coded label, for example, light blue, light red, white, or the like, for each type of pellicle, and determines the available exposure light and size from the barcode printed on the label. The received brand information can be read.

A bar code is usually printed on a label using black ink. When the bar code is read by a bar code reader, the detection sensitivity of the reader is low or the background of a colored label is poor. In some cases, the difference between the reflectance with the barcode is so small that reading becomes impossible, and reading may be erroneous. In the case of the above-mentioned pellicle, if the brand is erroneously read and used for an application other than the intended use of the pellicle, there is a problem that the film is deteriorated particularly when the exposure light is out of the usable range.

According to the label with a barcode of the present invention, the difference a−b between the reflectance a of the barcode and the reflectance b of the base of the barcode printed portion is determined by the reflectance a of the barcode and the barcode printed portion. The color of the background is changed between the bar code print portion and the other portion so that the difference a−c of the reflectance c of the background other than that, that is, (ab) ≧ (ac), The contrast between the code and the bar code printed portion is remarkably exhibited. Another label with a bar code is the maximum reflectance R of the bar in the bar code printed area.
D and the minimum reflectance RL between the bars, the character gap and the quiet zone are RD ≦ 30, RL− RD ≧ 5.
0, preferably R L -R D ≧ 60.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The label with a bar code shown in FIG. 1 is a label 1 having a colored background, wherein a base 4 of a printed portion of a bar code 3 including a quiet zone 2 has a white background with high reflectivity, and Code 3 is printed with black ink having low reflectance. Example A bar code of a black bar was printed on white, red, light blue and dark blue background labels. Next, a measuring device manufactured by Nippon Electric Special Equipment Co., Ltd. (trade name "Barcode Symbol Verifier HC-1")
00 type) and JIS X-0503, code 39
The reflectance RD of the black bar, the gap between the characters between the black bars, the gap between the characters at both ends of the black bar, and the reflectance RL of the quiet zone were measured for four labels at three points per label. . Next, a bar code reader (trade name "BL-85" manufactured by Keyence Corporation of model A)
0 ") and a barcode reader (trade name" TBR-300D ") of Model B manufactured by Token Co., Ltd. Table 1 shows the above results.

According to the label with the barcode according to the first aspect, the difference in reflectance between the barcode and the background of the barcode printed portion increases, so that the contrast becomes remarkable, and the barcode is read by the reader. Can be performed accurately. In particular, if the contrast between white and black is set as in the second aspect of the present invention, reading can be performed more accurately. According to the label with the barcode according to the third aspect, a reading error by the barcode reader can be eliminated.
