Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful water-cleaning filter at low cost for cleaning water by removing solid waste floating on water or putrefactive substances to clan water by constituting the water-cleaning filter of wood shavings, sawdust or chips of wood which are waste much produced. SOLUTION: Rustproof nets 11 are stretched on five faces except the bottom- face of a resin-made frame 10 to constitute a box shape, in which wood shavings 12 as filter medium are packed to constitute a water-clarifying filter 1. The wooden shavings 12 are of sugi (Japanese cedar), hinoki (Japanese cypress), matsu (pine), etc., and the kind is indifferent, but particularly cedar is effective for fish breeding and the like, where ammonia is generated by putrefaction of leavings of feed or droppings of fish, because cedar has an antibacterial action to various bacterial, and it has deodorization action to ammonia. The frame 10 mey be made of wood or resin, or simply of rustproof net 11. Further if a part of the net of the water-cleaning filter 1 is made freely openable/ closable, a filter madium can be replaced from outside.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in order to filter suspended matters such as garbage and decaying substances floating in water, a filter medium made of chemicals, chemical fibers and natural fibers, a filter medium hardened with natural sand and artificial sand, coral or Activated charcoal and the like are used, but their filtration efficiency is excellent, but their prices are not inexpensive because they are man-made. Therefore,
For example, a farmer who uses a large amount of filter media to remove food left behind by fish or fish dung in onshore farming has a significant economic burden.

The inventor of the present invention has been searching for an inexpensive material that can be used as a filter material for many years. Or, he focused on a piece of wood, a so-called offcut. Although a large amount of can waste, sawdust, and scraps are produced every day at construction sites, carpenters, and workshops throughout the country, but their proper use has not been found at present, they are incinerated. At present, however, it is very difficult to dispose of it.

Means for Solving the Problems A water purifying filter is constituted by using wood waste, sawdust or offcuts, which are a large amount of waste. The filter material is stored in a net box or net made of rust-proof material so that when the entire filter is placed in the water to be cleaned, the planks, sawdust or scraps come into contact with the water.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a water purification filter according to the present invention using canned waste. The water purification filter 1 is provided with a rust-proof net 11 on all five surfaces except for the bottom surface of the resin frame 10.
In a box shape, and loosely filled with canna chips 12 as a filter material inside. Canna debris 12 can be made of wood such as cedar, cypress, pine, etc., but larvae have antibacterial action against many bacteria and deodorant action against ammonia. It is effective in the case where ammonia is generated due to leftover of food or decay of fish droppings. The box 10 may be made of wood or resin, or may simply be a rust-proof net. If a part of the rust preventive net 11 of the box-shaped filter is made openable and closable, the filter material can be replaced therefrom.

If this filter 1 is placed in a water tank, for example, assuming that the flow of water in the water tank is as shown by the arrow, floating water in the water is removed while the water is Water adsorbed on the surface and leaving the filter 1 is purified. When the litter 12 is used, decay of suspended matter can be suppressed by its antibacterial action even when used for a long time, so that water purification and filter life can be maintained for a long period of time. When the surface of the canner waste 12 as the filter material becomes dirty, only the filter material needs to be replaced.

In this embodiment, the water purifying filter 2 is a loosely packed canner waste 21 as a filter material inside a nylon net 20. Compared with the filter 1 of FIG. 1, the shape of the filter 2 can be freely taken, so that the shape of the water tank or the flow path can be adjusted even when the water tank or the flow path of the purified water is narrow or bent. Filter can be freely arranged. The water purifying action of the canned waste 21 is exactly the same as in the case of FIG.

The inventor of the present invention used FIG.
A filter of the form shown in Fig. 1 was manufactured and placed in an aquarium with a capacity of approximately 600 liters for breeding and appreciation. Without the filter, the food in the aquarium was almost one week away from the food and fish droppings left by the fish. It took about 2 months to get the same degree of soiling. This is clearly the effect of the filter. At this stage, it has not been possible to present numerical values for the sake of preparation. However, it is considered that ammonia generated by spoilage of food and fish droppings has also been removed to a considerable extent by the deodorizing effect of the lark. It is also considered that the activity of the bacteria in the aquarium is suppressed by the antibacterial action of the hiba wood.

In the above-described embodiment, the filter in which the canned waste is packed in the case or the net has been described. However, instead of the canned waste, sawdust or wood scraps may be used. If the waste is relatively long, the same effect can be obtained by arranging the waste in the water to be purified by simply bundling the waste without packing the case. In the case of sawdust, since it is difficult for water to pass between the scraps, it is preferable to pack the sawdust in a small container and suspend a large number of containers under water in a state where the sawdust touches. In the present invention, it is important to use wood cans, sawdust, offcuts or a mixture thereof as a filter, and various arrangements in water are conceivable.

The filter for water purification according to the present invention utilizes can waste, sawdust or scraps equivalent to waste as a filter material, so that an extremely inexpensive filter can be provided.
It is very economically advantageous as compared with expensive filter materials such as chemicals conventionally used for water purification and filtration, and natural and artificial filter materials. In addition, since a large amount of canned waste or offcuts used as a filter material in the present invention is discharged all over the country, there is no problem in supply amount and transport, and there is no problem in treatment, so that there is an effect of two birds per stone. If wood (for example, plywood) used for the filter material is selected, a deodorizing action and an antibacterial action can be expected in addition to the filter's original purifying action, so that the water exchange time can be lengthened.
The filter of the present invention is a small aquarium or pond for viewing,
Furthermore, it can be used for large-scale aquariums for onshore aquaculture, and for purification of water at the final stage of drinking water treatment or sewage treatment. It can of course be used for aquaculture in the ocean.
