Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable plugging out by a tool without causing the interference and to enable manufacture at a low cost by integral molding by means of a multi-fiber optical connector. SOLUTION: Respective pairs of two engaging pieces 9, 9, 10, 10, 12, 12, 13, 13, which protrude from the inside of an adapter housing 1 and have spring property, are respectively oppositely disposed in the same axial direction within respective holes 5, 6, 8 for plug insertion respectively formed on both sides of plural sleeve holders 2, 3 lined up and arranged in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction at an intermediate part within the adapter housing 1 of a connecting adapter A. Simultaneously, one pair of engaging pieces 12, 12, 13, 13 on the opposite side are respectively integrally constituted with one pair of engaging pieces 9, 9, 10, 10 on one side of respective sleeve holders 2, 3 by being shifted by a desired angle in the shaft-rotating direction.
