According to the present invention, the roofing material can be efficiently and directly fixed on the existing slate roof using drilling screws or the like without installing a pier (auxiliary material). Since the roofing material can be laid regardless of the waveform and pitch of the roof, much labor can be saved and the work efficiency is extremely high as compared with the conventional repair method and roof structure. Due to the sufficient bending rigidity of the roofing material, even if the roofing material is fixed to the valley or sloping part of the existing slate roof, there is no risk of bending the roofing material or sinking the fixed part, ensuring sufficient roof strength And the renovated roof is simple and has good finish. The protruding ends of the hook bolts and the like protruding on the slate roof can be cut off, but can be inserted into the hard foam layer and stored. The roofing material can be stably and flatly constructed without obstruction.

In the method of repairing a slate roof according to the present invention, first, a hook bolt or the like (hereinafter, referred to as a fixing member) 8 for fixing the existing slate roof 7 to the purlin member A is located above a nut protruding above the slate roof 7. 2 (FIG. 2)
(Dotted line portion) is cut off as needed. Note that if the projection end 8a of the fixing member 8 fits in the hard foam layer 2, the projection end 8a does not have to be cut off. Then
The roofing material 1 is placed one by one on the existing slate roof 7 with the length direction of the roofing material 1 facing the eaves ridge. At this time, the protruding end portion 8a of the fixing member 8 or the cut end portion where the protruding portion remains may be made to penetrate the back material 4 of the roofing material 1 and protrude into the hard foam layer 2 as shown in FIG. .

Further, after the position of the purlin member A has been marked out as required, as shown in FIG. 2, a drilling screw 9 (in the figure, waterproofness) is fixed to the flat portion 5e of the fixing edge 5 of the roofing material 1. Then, the fixing edge 5 of the roofing material 1 is fixed by driving through the existing slate roof 7 and screwing into the purlin member A. When the purlin is made of wood, it is needless to say that it may be fixed with nails instead of screws. At this time, since the roofing material 1 has a bending rigidity equal to or more than a predetermined value, even if the drilling screw 9 is located at a valley portion or an inclined portion of the existing slate roof 7, the fixing edge portion 5 into which the screw or the like is driven is fixed. The drilling screw 9 is not deformed, regardless of whether the screw-in place is located at the peak, the valley, or the middle of the existing slate roof 7.
Can be reliably driven and fixed. In addition, as shown in FIG. 5, not only the flat portion 5 e of the fixing edge portion 5 but also the driving of the drilling screw 9 into the intermediate portion (the portion having a wave shape in the figure) of the roofing material 1 can be performed based on the bending rigidity. It is possible.

It is excellent in terms of strength due to its high bending rigidity, and in the connection portion with the adjacent roofing material 1, the driving portion of the drilling screw 9 is completely covered with the fitting edge portion 6, so that it is preferable in appearance. In addition, corrosion of the drilling screw 9 can be prevented. Furthermore, a first drain groove 5d and a second drain groove are formed below the fitted edge 6 on the fixing edge 5, and an end edge 6b of the fitted edge 6 is a locking portion. Since the draining portion is configured to be locked from below with respect to 5b, intrusion of water can be reliably prevented.

FIG. 3 shows a preferred construction example of the eaves portion of the renovated slate roof. In other words, the eaves wrap 10 is fixed to the eaves of the existing slate roof 7 so as to wrap the leading edge, and the eaves end of the roofing material 1 is located closer to the ridge than the eaves end of the existing slate roof 7. A predetermined width portion at the tip of the eaves of the slate roof 7 is a portion where the roofing material 1 is not laid (a roof material non-laying portion), and the existing rain gutter 11 already attached to the eaves of the existing slate roof 7 before the repair is left as it is. It is configured. In this case, the width of the roofing material non-laid portion is increased or decreased by the inclination of the roofing material 1, but is set so that rainwater flowing down on the roofing material 1 does not climb over the existing rain gutter 11.

According to the above-mentioned eaves structure, even if a steel plate such as a gallivalium steel plate having a smaller resistance to rainwater flow than a slate roof is used as the weather-resistant steel plate 3 of the roof material 1, the roof material 1 must be covered. The rainwater that has flowed down falls on the front side 10a of the eaves wrap 10, and falls on the existing rain gutter 11 along the front side 10a, so there is no need to replace the existing rain gutter 11. Further, the eaves wrapping 10 hides the eaves tip, so that the appearance is preferable. Further, since the roofing material 1 is retracted from the eaves tip to the back, there is no pressure on the person looking up.
In the figure, the back of the eaves of the roofing material 1
The notch 13 is provided so that the drilling screw 9 for fixing the notch does not abut, but the notch 13 does not necessarily have to be formed.
