Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a living space effectively by providing a hollow footstool which is in contact with a kitchen door externally, is like a flat projection when viewed from the side, and of which tread board can be opened and closed, providing a drain tank and a lawn faucet therein, and storing utensils for gardening therein. SOLUTION: A hollow footstool 1 which is in contact with a kitchen door 2 externally, is provided with tread stepped parts 12 at a position where the total height of a footstool main body 11 is substantially divided into two parts on both right and left sides of the footstool main body 11, and is substantially like flat projection when viewed from side is provided. The tread stepped part 12 on one side is closed in such a manner that an upper opening part can be opened and closed by a tread board 5, a drain tank 13 is provided in the upper opening part, a lawn faucet 3 is erected in a stepped part 14 adjacent to the drain tank 13, and a hose 4 is wound and stored in the drain tank 13. A tread board 6 is screw-fitted in an upper opening part of a stool main body 11 by using a hinge in such a manner that it can turn, and utensils for gardening and trash box can be stored therein. Latticelike decorative grooves 51, 56 are provided on surface of the tread boards 5, 6. Moreover, a recessed part is provided on a rear surface of the tread boards 5, 6 and is fitted in a rising wall 15 erected at an opening fringe.
