Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compsn., such as a lubricant or grease, excellent in abrasion resistance and extreme-pressure properties by incorporating a sulfur-contg. organotin compd. into the same. SOLUTION: A pref. sulfur-contg. organotin compd. is selected from among compds. represented by the formula: (R<1> )m Sn(X)4-m [wherein R<1> is an alkyl; X is S(CH2 )n cCOOR<2> or S(CH2 )n OCOR<2> (wherein R<2> is an alkyl or an alkenyl; and (n) is 1-18); and (m) is 0-3]. Examples of the compd. are dimethyltinbis(isooctylthioglycol) and monomethyltin tris(2-mercatoethyl oleate). Pref., the compd. is compounded in an amt. of 0.1-2wt.% of the compsn. Examples of a lubricant compsn. are a mineral oil, an Li-soap grease, a urea grease, and a composite Ca-soap grease.

される有機錫化合物を添加した潤滑剤組成物が記載され
ている。しかし、その耐磨耗性向上効果は十分なものと
はいえなかった。

2 で表されるアルキル基、アルケニル基として好ましい
ものは、炭素原子数1〜18のもの、例えば、メチル、
オクチル、ドデシル、オクタデシル、オレイル等であ

油、加工油等の潤滑油、軸受用グリース、各種の産業機
械用グリース、自動車等速ジョイント用グリース等のグ
リースに、上記耐荷重添加剤を、潤滑剤組成物の全体重
量に対して、0.1〜20重量%、好ましくは0.5〜
10重量%配合したものが好ましい。0.1重量%未満
では目的とする効果の発現が不充分であり、20重量%
を超えると、添加量に応じた効果がなく、また価格も高
価となり、実用的でない。本発明の潤滑剤組成物の具体
例としては、鉱油、Li石けんグリース、ウレアグリー
ス、複合Ca石けんグリース等が挙げられる。
