Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the sheath of a cable end from moving at a low cost by a method wherein a ring is fitted on the sheath of the cable end, the end of the sheath is folded on the ring and the folded sheath end part is tightened by a band and, further, fixed by a heat-shrinkable tube. SOLUTION: First, a wedge-like ring 10 is put on the outer circumference of the sheath 5 of a cable 1 end. The outer circumference of the ring 10 is tapered so as to have a wedge-shape. Slits are formed in the end 5A of the sheath 5 and a plurality of the pieces of the sheath end 5A are folded on the ring 10 into wedge-shapes. After the folded pieces of the sheath end parts 5A are bound and tightened by a band 11, a heat-shrinkable tube 12 is put over the whole folded sheath end and the stripped cable end to fix as a whole. As a result, the movement of the cable end sheath can be avoided by simple components and works and the moisture-proofness and electrical insulating properties of the cable end can be improved at a low cost.

In the prior art of this type of cable terminal, for example, as disclosed in JP-A-59-67815, a cable terminal is supported by a bracket, and the cable terminal is held by a bracket around the outer periphery of a cable sheath. At a position closer to the end than the part, there is a case where the sheath section is wound in contact with the bracket, and an adhesive heat-shrinkable tube is fitted thereon and heat-shrinks to prevent the sheath from being displaced with respect to the bracket. .

[0005] As a structure of a cable terminal portion, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 56-29410 discloses that a ring is inserted into a terminal of a cable and a cut is made at an end of an external semiconductive layer of the cable. The end of the conductive layer is folded at the ring position, and the folded portion is stopped with a presser winding (a stress cone is formed by the folded portion), and
The entire folded portion is housed in a bushing to be filled with a highly soft insulating mixture, and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 61-96727 discloses that the sheath end is folded, the portion is filled with an adhesive, and the folded portion is filled. A technique is described in which an adhesive is fixed to a terminal pipe by filling with an adhesive.

According to the present invention, such sheath movement prevention is provided.
The above-mentioned conventional techniques (for example, the technique of engaging the bracket with the sheath section / heat-shrinkable tube, or fixing the folded sheath by bushing or filling the terminal pipe with an insulating admixture or an adhesive) are unnecessary, which is simple and convenient. An object of the present invention is to provide a low-cost cable terminal sheath movement prevention structure which can be reliably realized by parts and operations.
