Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of effectively preventing oil leakage by a relatively compact constitution. SOLUTION: This connector 30 insert-mold or press in a front portion partitioning wall 35 plural relay terminals 17 pressure-contacting and holding a conductor portion 19 of a wire 20 by means of a pinching portion 18 against a cavity-shaped housing 31 having the front portion partitioning wall 35 integrally molded therein so that a tip end part is exposed along an axial core direction of the cavity-shaped housing 31. And, a rear portion partitioning wall 21 transparently provided with a wire lead-out pore 22 corresponding to the relay terminal 17 fixed to the front portion partitioning wall 35 is engagingly attached to a rear portion opening area of the cavity-shaped housing 31, while a soluble synthetic resin member 39 is engagingly attached to an inside of a recess portion 38 provided on a surface of the front portion partitioning wall 35 positioned on a side of a hood portion 31a, and oil leakage is effectively prevented.

However, the synthetic resin member 24, for example, epoxy resin, which is injected into the compartment 23 as described above, has a relatively narrow arrangement around the relay terminal 17 and the compartment 23. It is necessary to repeat the filling several times, so the filling workability is inferior and the relay terminals 17
In this case, the adhesion of the synthetic resin member 24 to the resin was apt to occur, and as a result, the disadvantage of oil leakage was not completely solved.

On the other hand, JP-A-6-223903 proposes a wiring connector for an automatic transmission in which a relay terminal is insert-molded so as to be embedded in a connector housing. Since the expansion coefficients are significantly different, it has been difficult to avoid the occurrence of poor adhesion between the two members.

The heat-melted solubilized synthetic resin member 39 is
After passing through the filling hole 40 penetrated through the front partition wall 35, the space inside the conductor portion 19 from around the relay terminal 17 and into the partition chamber 37 defined by the hollow housing 31 and the front and rear partition walls 35 and 21. Injection,
Will be filled. In particular, the solubilized synthetic resin member 39 is a relay terminal.
Since the complex shape around the tip of 17 is formed and solidified to the desired size and shape in advance, it is possible to sufficiently cover minute gaps, corners, etc. with only a simple insertion operation into the recess 38. it can. Note that, depending on the heating and melting conditions of the solubilized synthetic resin member 39, a slight difference due to a difference in linear expansion coefficient between the distal end portion of the relay terminal 17 and the front partition wall 35 that are in close contact by insert molding or press fitting is caused. A void 36 occurs,
The filling efficiency can be increased through the space 36.
However, this gap 36 is minute, does not reach a size that induces oil leakage at a normal connector peripheral operating temperature, and does not change the substantial holding force of the front partition wall 35 to the relay terminal 17. .

The number of the filling holes 40 is appropriately increased or decreased, and in some cases, the solubilized synthetic resin member is formed only by the space 36.

The wiring connector 30 for an automatic transmission according to the present invention configured as described above has the following novel effects. That is, the wiring connector 30 for an automatic transmission according to the present invention is provided with the oil case wall 1 of the automatic transmission.
A hollow housing 31 having a front partition wall 35 integrally fitted so as to be perpendicular to the axis inside the through hole 2 penetrated through the A plurality of relay terminals 17 crimping and holding 20 conductors 19
Is inserted or press-fitted into the front partition wall 35 from the front partition wall 25 to the hood portion 31a so that the distal end thereof is exposed along the axial direction of the hollow housing 31. It has become possible to maintain the partition wall 35 against the relay terminal 17 and maintain the liquid sealing action force. Further, a solubilized synthetic resin member 39 is fitted into a concave portion 38 provided on the surface of the front partition wall 35 located on the side of the hood portion 31a, and the solubilized synthetic resin member 39 is heated and melted, so that the relay terminal 17 is heated.
A space around and / or in the conductor portion 19 can be efficiently and effectively liquid-sealed.
