Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor drum having an effective vibration suppressing action and simplified in structure by charging a hard elastic vibration suppressing material making pressure contact with a cylinder in a wide area into the cylinder. SOLUTION: A small piece 1a of a thermally expansible resin material having a forming agent preliminarily kneaded thereto is sealed into a photoreceptor drum 2, and the resulting photoreceptor drum 2 is dipped in a photosensitive layer applying solution 3. It is then lifted up, and heated and dried by a dryer to form a photosensitive layer on the surface of the drum 2, and the small piece 1a of the resin material is formed and expanded by use of this heating, whereby an integrated block-like vibration suppressing material 1 whose surface makes pressure contact with the drum inner surface is provided. Thus, the chattering of a cleaning blade can be solved, and since the vibration suppressing material is filled in the drum in the process of applying the photosensitive layer, an effective vibration suppressing action can be provided without reducing the working property.

のビビリの発生により感光体ドラムが共鳴して不快音を
発し、いわゆるクリーニングブレード鳴きを生じるとい
った不具合が往々にして認められる。もっとも、こうし
たことの防止対策として、感光体ドラムの内周面に鉛の
小片等からなる振動抑制材料を接着テープを介して貼り
つけ共振を吸収するようにしたもの(特開平3−459
81号公報)が知られている。

良による画像の横段地汚れも解消した。
