Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of use and the operability of the portable telephone set and to reduce the cost. SOLUTION: A 1st key group 10 and a 2nd key group 20 are arranged to both sides of a case 9 except the middle position of the case, the 1st key group 10 are operation keys and the 2nd key group 20 are shift keys to change the allocation of the operation keys. The shape of the case is devised in matching with the shape of a human hand, the operation keys of the key group are not projected from the surface of the case 9, the portable telephone set is accustomed to the user's hand by matching the shape of the case with the shape of human hand and the positions of the operation buttons are devised so that the operation buttons are operated by a minimum motion of fingers. Thus, the operability is improved, plural functions are provided to one operation key by using the shift keys thereby reducing the number of the operation keys.
