2. Description of the Related Art As a conventional example in which a piston facing caliper body is used for a vehicle disc brake, for example, there is one disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 7-12638. This disc brake is provided with a pair of action parts of a caliper body arranged on both sides of the disc rotor, facing each other with a cylinder hole opening to the disc rotor side, and a piston is inserted into each cylinder hole to form a cylinder hole. The piston is pushed toward the disc rotor by the hydraulic fluid supplied to the hydraulic chamber at the bottom, and the friction pads arranged between the acting portion and the disc rotor are pushed toward the side face of the disc rotor. Both friction pads are supported by pad receiving pieces extending from the retainer at both inner side surfaces of the disk, and are urged outward by the elastic force of the pad receiving pieces. At the same time, the outer surface of the disk is supported by the inner surface of the disk of a rigid member that is installed on the ceiling opening of the bridge.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION In the disc brake including the above-mentioned structure, the friction pad is separated from the side surface of the disc rotor due to a bid with the disc rotor when the piston is released and the braking is released. However, in the above friction pad, both inner and outer surfaces of the disc are held by the pad receiving piece and the rigid member, and the elastic force from the pad holding piece acts as a resistance, so that the friction pad does not compete with the disc rotor. It could not be sufficiently separated from the side surface of the disk rotor, and the lining of the friction pad was dragged by the rotating disk rotor, causing uneven wear and rubbing noise.

According to the present invention, in accordance with the above object, a pair of operating portions of a caliper body disposed on both sides of a disc rotor are connected by a bridge portion that straddles the outer periphery of the disc rotor. A rigid member is installed in the disc axial direction in a ceiling opening that penetrates the bridge portion inward and outward in the disc radial direction, and a pair of friction pads are movable between the acting portions in the disc axial direction with the disc rotor interposed therebetween. The friction members are arranged so as to face each other, and the inner surfaces of the discs of the friction pads are supported by pad receiving pieces having elastic force, and the disc outer surfaces of both friction pads are urged outward by the pad receiving pieces. In the vehicle disc brake supported by the inner surface of the disc, the inner surface of the disc of the rigid member is gradually displaced as the distance from the disc rotor increases. It is inclined away from the axis. In addition to the above configuration, the pad receiving piece can be inclined so as to gradually approach the disc axis as it moves away from the disc rotor.

According to the present invention, the inner surface of the disc of the friction pad is supported by the pad receiving piece having an elastic force, and the outer surface of the disc of the friction pad is erected in the ceiling opening of the caliper body. The inner surface of the disc of the rigid member is gradually tilted away from the disk axis as it moves away from the disk rotor, so that the friction pad after braking is released from the pad receiving piece. The biasing force and the inclined member inner side surface shape of the rigid member forcefully pull back from the side surface of the disk rotor, so that the friction pad lining is dragged to the disk rotor, causing uneven wear and generating rubbing noise. It is possible to solve the conventional problems such as. Further, since no special member for pulling back the friction pad is used, the assembling property and the product cost are excellent. In addition to the above-mentioned configuration, the friction pad can be more reliably pulled back from the side surface of the disk rotor by inclining the pad receiving piece so as to gradually approach the disk axis as the pad receiving piece moves away from the disk rotor.
It is possible to effectively prevent uneven wear of the lining and generation of rubbing noise.
