When a radiant heater covered with a quartz tube glass is used to heat the heat storage layer, impurities such as alkaline earth elements such as Na and K and metals or metal compounds such as Al and Fe are used on the surface of the quartz tube glass. However, when the temperature of the quartz glass is further increased to 1000 ° C. or more, the surface of the quartz glass is changed to cristobalite in a crystalline state, and the quartz glass is in a devitrified state, which is fragile and easily broken.
