も行う。次にコンピュータの文字入力端末より指定の形
式に従い入力された主に文字情報はコンピュータの通信
用入出力端部で接続された文字情報変換印刷機に入力さ
れる。この中で主にコード化された数字で伝達された文
字情報等は一定の約束に基ずきバーコード様の線素ある
いは別途の図形に変換され、適宜内蔵する印刷機もしく
は鑽孔記で対象物の名刺、手紙あるいは文書に直接もし
くは間接印刷もしくは鑽孔される。間接とは一端ラベル
等別紙に印刷もしくは鑽孔しこれを対象物に添付するこ
とを指す。最後にこのような図形情報を文字情報復元機
の読み取り部が順次読み取る。これを内部に設けられた
一定の約束により認識し元の主に文字情報コード等に復
元する。これを前記のコンピュータに通信用入出力端部
を通して入力すると前記ソフトウエアの指示に基ずき主
に元の文字情報が復元される。ここに文字情報入力用の
コンピュータと同復元用のそれとは一般的には別個のも
のが用いられる。なお前記の文字情報復元機はそれ自体
の内部に上記コンピュータと同様の文字情報復元機能を

対象物5上の線素図形4等を文字情報復元機2の読み取
り部21で読み取る。読み取り原理や方法は原則的に従
来の光電変換方式で線素4等の濃淡に光をあてて電気エ
ネルギの強弱に変換する。この電気信号を内部の変換約
束に基ずき元の文字情報等に対応するコード数値に一端

元の情報に復元し定められた形式や方法で表示あるいは
印刷する機構を有する文字情報復元機よりなる文字情報
