Insecticidal compositionTechnical field
The invention relates to the use of compounds having insecticidal activity in the treatment of wool or wool-containing materials.
About. The present invention also provides the ability to protect wool or wool-containing materials against insect attack.
It also relates to a potent insecticidal active composition.background
Permethrin is currently the main commercial insect repellent treatment
It is a mothproofing chemical. In the UK, to the water of permethrin
Spill will be restricted from the beginning of 1993. The best industrial conditions
Even so, a small amount of insect repellent chemicals is always spilled with the waste liquid.
This effectively stops the use of permethrin dyebaths. Permethrin
Still usable for wool treatment, it is a fully encapsulated system that does not create environmental residues
Need to be used in.
In Australia, case bearing clothing moths (Chinea)
・ Pyrethroids of translucence
Due to the emergence of (pyrethroid) resistant strains
The suitability of using metrin decreases, and as a temporary measure to control this insect
Higher levels of permethrin have been used, but this has resulted in dye baths.
The environmental problem was exacerbated by the increase in the amount of spillage.
When applying insect repellent in the wool treatment procedure, the dye bath application is the easiest and cheapest
Is the most common point, which does not require special equipment,
When applied at high temperature, a treatment exhibiting optimal fastness properties is obtained. Insect repellent wool coating
When the fabric is run in a dye bath, it is a special type that has very low harm to all types of aquatic organisms.
It is necessary to use compounds.Disclosure of the invention
One object of the present invention is the practical insect repellent treatment of wool or wool products, such as textiles.
The present invention provides an insecticidal active composition and a treatment method. Book
A further object of the invention may be more environmentally acceptable than the prior art processes mentioned above

S (10 cm in length and 4.6 mm in ID) cartridge type column maintained at 40 ° C
And an elution solvent consisting of acetonitrile / water (57:43) was used.Insecticidal activity against moths and beetle species
The compounds according to formula (I) are very high against all five moth strains we have tested.
However, the beetle activity was, as expected, at the highest level tested.
Was also very weak. However, as indicated above, protection against beetles is also required
When it is said that, for the purpose of guaranteeing protection against wool products
To use a compound of formula (I) in a mixture with a compound showing activity against
Will need to.
This treating compound was used for 14 days at coating levels above 0.005%.
The test caused 100% killing. At a level of about 0.00025%,
About 50% were still alive, but apparently not normal. 0.0001%
Even with bells, only 30-40% of the control wool was eaten by the larvae. High
At a high level (0.1%), the cinerea larvae will not be killed before they die.
Out, usually this is an indicator of distress.
Loss of residual insecticide active residue during application and over the life of the wool product
To ensure replenishment, the level of active material used should be a minimum effective level.
Will need to be higher.Dye bath consumption
Liquid and fabric chemistry assays (Table 2) show significant loss in dyebath during application.
Is generated. The loss of compound (III) is high, which clearly
It is related to the high water solubility of this compound. Compound (IV) is better
Showed exhaustion.
The slope of the depletion of compound (IV) follows the Freundlich adsorption isotherm (Fig. 1).
The close agreement indicates that the concentration in wool is proportional to the concentration in liquid. Therefore
, The loss depends on the liquor: wool ratio used in dyeing, and the percent loss is the liquor ratio
It will be lower if less than 25: 1 used in the initial study. In rinse solution
The level is very low,
It has shown good penetration into the fiber and is active in wool and liquid.
Of hydrolysis and volatilization, as shown by the good overall recovery of the volatile material.
The loss is low.Demand for durability of chemical products for insect repellent processing
It is required that the insect repellent activity persist over the life of the wool product. Minimum activity
By using the active material in a 5-10 fold excess of the sex level, volatilization, light exposure and
80-90% lost on leaning (laundry, shampoo and dry cleaning)
Ensure protection against insects even after being killed.Light fastness and volatility
It is possible to prevent it for 20 years, which is the expected life expectancy for household carpets.
Photostability and long-term volatility are key factors in determining that insect treatments will survive.
It is an important factor. Since exposure tests can reach high temperatures, the loss due to volatilization is light
It is an integral part of the prison test. Experience with permethrin causes stains in the fibers
If this is applied under non-incorporated conditions, the half-life lost from the surface of the dough is 60.
It can be for 12 days at ℃, but when applied from a hot dye bath, wool is "permanently"
I know it can be protected.
Fabrics treated with compound (IV) were subjected to an accelerated light exposure test on blue scale (blue).
scale) Fastness class 6 (fabric is significantly yellowed and weakened at this stage)
I received it until I exceeded it. Insect bioassay (Table 3) and chemical assay (Table 4,
The loss was monitored in Figure 2).
Compound (IV) has a lightfastness very suitable for commercial insect repellent treatment.
The amount of permethrin remaining under the same accelerated test conditions was 40-50% of the initial coating amount.
Was only.Dry cleaning and wash fastness
Laundering of compound (IV) in comparison with synthetic pyrethroid compounds for insect repellent processing
The performance is similar and the dry cleaning resistance is good. Insect bioassay
Both (Table 5) and chemical analysis (Table 6 and Figure 3) confirmed loss in hand washing.
Admit. The losses in dry cleaning are small (Table 6, Figure 4).
For non-polar pyrethroids (permethrin or cycloprothrin)
Rye cleaning is a rigorous test, with 5 commercial dry cleaning treatments
The amount removed after 70% of the initial coating amount was 70%. Compound (IV) is
It was almost unchanged. After 5 hand-wash cycles, the applied pyrethroid is sheep.
The amount remaining on the hair was 45%, and the compound (IV) also showed similar performance. car
The most important wet process for major end use of pets is to wash the carpet with shampoo
In the case of treatment, pyrethroids the loss after 5 cycles is usually 30%
, Compound (IV) should behave similarly. Determine the final usage rate of each material
Runi
The above factors are important. In fact, coating, light and wet processing such as carpeting
To replenish losses such as shampoo laundry, the amount of active material should be about 0.0
It may be necessary to coat compound (IV) to be 05-0.01%.Composition containing a compound showing activity against beetles Permethrin results:
Test 1: Cinea translucence (long-term test)
Test 2: Entrenus flavipes (2-week test)
Trial 3: Entrenus flavipes (2-week trial)
This result clearly shows that compound (IV) shows high activity against moths (Test 1).
But has no activity against beetles except at the highest level in the concentration range tested
(Test 2) is shown. However, when compound (IV) is present,
Compared to damage when treated with permethrin alone (15 and 17 mg in duplicate samples)
Increase the activity of permethrin (ie, reduce dietary damage).
). This effect is almost twice as active
Is equivalent to.
As an example, since compound (IV) improves the activity of HHP derivatives, this
Again it may show a synergistic effect with HHP derivatives. Results for HHP derivatives:
Test 4: Entrenus flavipes (2-week test)
Test 5: Pyrethroid resistant tinaire translucence (4 week test)
Test 6: Pyrethroid-sensitive tinaire translucence (2-week test)
Test 7: Beetle (Entrenus flavipes) (2-week test)
The results of tests 1, 5 and 7 show that a mixture of compound IV and bifenthrin
Control pyrethroid-resistant moths.
Test 8: Beetle (Entrenus flavipes) (2-week test)
Compound (IV) has a direct activity against beetles when used at such treatment levels.
However, the effect of 4-hydroxybenzoic acid ester is significantly improved.
