2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a camera having a built-in electronic flash device that moves up and down has a flash device unit to which a light emitting portion of the flash device is attached, which is formed by a plastic material. FIG. 6 shows a camera in which the flash light emitting portion of such a conventional example is casing with a plastic material.
And FIG. 7. An electronic flash unit 3 including a flash light emitting portion is provided on the upper lid 1a of the camera body 1 so as to be covered by an external component 2. The electronic flash unit 3 includes a case 4 having a trigger coil (not shown) and its case. A flash light emitting portion 8 composed of a xenon tube 5, a reflection shade 6 and a front panel 7 is formed in the front part, and is rotatably supported by an upper lid 1a by a support shaft 9 connected to the case 4 and is attached to the case 4. The upper lid 1a is provided in the arc-shaped guide groove 4a provided.
The guide pin 10 provided at the position is engaged so that the up / down operation can be performed between the storage standby position in FIG. 6 and the raised light emitting position in FIG. 7. The xenon tube 5 and its trigger coil control signal line are connected to a control circuit (not shown) in the camera body 1 by a lead wire group 11, and a light emission trigger signal emitted by the trigger coil is directly input to the xenon tube 5 to emit light. I am letting you.

By the way, in recent years, a method of using a metal member for the exterior component 2 has been adopted in order to obtain a high-grade feeling, but it is formed of a plastic material as in the above-mentioned conventional example. If the external parts are replaced with metal parts as they are, the following problems occur. Since a large current flows in the electronic flash unit 3 in order to cause the xenon tube 5 to emit light, if a conducting member such as a metal is present nearby, the electronic flash unit 3 will leak during flashing, and the xenon tube 5 will be able to emit light for an appropriate time. It's gone. For example,
It has been known that, as a measure against leakage, the distance between the metal component and the trigger coil to which a voltage of about 5 KV is applied needs to be separated by about 5 mm or more. However, if a distance of 5 mm is attempted, the electronic flash unit becomes large in size, which is not suitable for the miniaturized camera which is the current mainstream. Also,
Since the external parts, which are metal members, are pressed, they do not have the degree of freedom in shape unlike the external parts formed of conventional plastic materials.

As described above, according to the present invention as set forth in claims 1 to 3, the non-conductive cover member is interposed between the flash unit and the metal exterior member that covers the flash unit, so that the flash light emitting unit is provided. Since a large current flowing when the light is emitted is prevented from leaking to the metal exterior member, it is possible to safely operate the camera, and a metal member is used for the exterior member, so that the camera has a high-class feeling. It becomes possible. Further, according to the present invention as set forth in claims 4 and 5, the metal exterior member has at least one of a nail for hooking on the non-conductive cover or the flash unit and / or a screw hole for fixing, and its outermost shape. By forming by metal bending, it is possible to easily assemble the flash unit and the non-conductive cover member and form the claw of the exterior member.
