Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely house a used injection needle in a protective cap without turning a needle tip to the fingers of an operator at the time of putting it in the cap and to reduce accidents that a person engaged in medical treatments gets pierced by the injection needle after use by providing a vertically long slit on the side face of the protective cap of the injection needle. SOLUTION: This protective cap 1 of the injection needle 4 is provided with the slit 2. Also, a recess is provided so as not to slip by pressing force or so as to be pushed open by the pressing force on the lower part B of the injection needle 4. At the time of using it, the slit 2 is pushed and widened by pressing the part of the slit 2 at the lower part B of the protective cap 1 of the injection needle 4 to the root part E of the injection needle 4 first and thereafter, the injection needle 4 is housed in the protective cap 1. Then, the groove of the slit 2 can be made so as to be completely broken for the first time by the pressing force at the time of using it or it can be divided into the left and right, opened and locked by male and female notches by the slit 2.
