Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner of a type which is hanged from a ceiling, wherein dew condensation water can be reliably collected in a dew receiving pan by reducing a heat conduction from the dew receiving pan to a front side of a front panel. SOLUTION: A main body 1 of an air conditioner accommodates a blower, a heat exchanger 9 and a dew receiving pan 8 therein. An engaging rail 6 having a typical rail shape is provided in the vicinity of a blow-off opening of the main body 1 of the air conditioning apparatus. Engaging means 5 is mounted on an end portion of a front panel 8 which covers the front surface of the main body 1 and such engaging means 5 has an extremity thereof formed in a hook shape so as to be engaged with the engaging rail 6.
