Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to enhance the overall hygiene of clothes and to impart an antimicrobial property to a label for clothes as well by providing one or both surfaces of sheet-like fabrics with display receptive layers contg. a silver silica gel antimicrobial agent. SOLUTION: The label 1 for the antimicrobial clothes consists of the sheet- like fabrics 2 and the display receptive layers 3 formed on one or both surfaces thereof. The silica gel antimicrobial agent is incorporated into both of the sheet-like fabrics 2 and the display receptive layers 3. The fabrics used for the sheetlike fabrics 2 are not particularly limited, for which fabrics, etc., consisting of synthetic fibers, natural fibers and their blended yarn and combined filament yarn are adequately used. The display receptive layers 3 are the layers to receive a display in the case the display is imparted to the label for clothes by printing or thermal transfer. The first example of the display receptive layers 3 includes printable layers which adequately receive the display by ink. The second example of the display receptive layers 3 is thermal transfer receptive layers which receive the display in case printing is executed by melt thermal transfer.

As is clear from Table 1, the antibacterial clothing label of the present invention has excellent antibacterial properties and is superior in durability of antibacterial properties as compared with the control. This is because the antibacterial agent used itself has durability, and further, the antibacterial agent is gradually supplied from the woven fabric to the display receiving layer by including the antibacterial agent not only in the indicating receiving layer but also in the textile. It is thought to be due to.
