Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a liquid crystal display device used for a display unit of an electronic device has a liquid crystal glass protected by a frame made of metal or the like, and the frame is integrated with an electric board on which a driving LSI is mounted. Since it was composed, it had mechanical strength and was easy to handle. Therefore, when it is used for the display unit of an electronic device, the mechanism design and the handling at the time of assembly were easy.

It has come to be used. Recently, when using this type of liquid crystal display device without a protective frame and without mechanical strength, a dedicated holder made of molding resin or the like is provided and the liquid crystal device is clamped by its elastic force from above and below. It is used by mounting it on an electric substrate, or by using a double-sided tape to attach a cushioning material such as maltoplane between the holder and the liquid crystal display device.

However, in that case, the glass surface is distorted and causes a display failure. In order to prevent this, it is necessary to strictly control the dimensions of the sandwiched elastic portion, which leads to an increase in cost and reduces the effect of using a low-cost device.

It is electrically connected by the pattern printed on the surface of a.
Therefore, there is no printed circuit board and exterior frame dedicated to the LCD 10, the thickness of the module can be reduced, and the number of parts is small, so that the cost is lower than in the past. Even if the display surface 11c is on the side of the glass 11b shown in the drawing,
It may be on the opposite glass 11a side. Further, the terminal 13 is soldered to the electronic device main body to be described later for connection with an electric circuit board 30, and there is a connector or soldering method using a flexible wire other than this soldering method. There is also a type in which the LSI 12 is mounted on a flexible line.

However, since there is no exterior frame and the glass surface is exposed, it is necessary to pay attention to the handling and mounting state when mounting on the main body. That is, mechanical strength is weak against external force in the direction perpendicular to the glass surface (direction of arrow Z), and when distortion occurs, quality trouble such as display failure occurs.

The CD 10 is tilted, and one end surface of the glass 11a on the terminal pin 13 side is placed on the elastic portion 24 of the LCD holder 20.
It is made to dive under the regulation portion 23b. LCD terminal pin 1
While deforming the elastic arm portion 25 of the elastic portion 24, one end surface of the glass 11a on the terminal pin 13 side of the LCD 10 is deformed until the other surface of the glass 11a on the side opposite to 3 passes over the regulation portion 23a of the LCD holder 20. Strike. Here, if the other end face of the glass 11a is lightly dropped downward in the Z direction,
Due to the elastic return force of the elastic portion 23b in the Y direction, the other end surface of the glass 11a fits under the regulating portion 23a.

Is a positioning boss 26 for the electric circuit board 30, and is fitted into the positioning hole 31 of the electric circuit board 30. Further, the engaging portion 25 of the LCD holder 20 is engaged with the mounting hole 32 of the electric circuit board 30. Also, L
The terminals 13 of the CD are inserted into the terminal holes 33 of the electric circuit board 30 and soldered. At this time, the relationship between the positioning boss 26, the engaging portion 25, and the terminal 13 in the height direction (Z direction) from the surface of the electric circuit board 30 is set to be he>hf> hd, so that the positioning boss 26 is assembled at the time of assembly. If it is pushed into the positioning hole 31 only by searching, the engaging portion 25 and the terminal 13 are inserted into the holes 32 and 33 of the electric circuit board 30 to facilitate the assembly. In the space 40 between the LCD holder 20 and the electric circuit board 30, the electric element 50 and the like can be arranged as necessary to improve the mounting efficiency. When it is not necessary, the LCD holder 20
The space 40 may be eliminated by directly attaching the electric circuit board 30 to the electric circuit board 30.

Even if the position dimensions of the elastic member 24 and the elastic arm member 25 of the LCD holder 20 are rough, since the pressure is applied only to the horizontal Y direction on the glass surface of the liquid crystal display, including the time of assembling, a display defect or the like is caused. Quality problems do not occur. Further, since the number of parts can be improved by only the LCD holder, the efficiency of mounting the parts of the electric circuit board 30 can be improved, so that the cost is low and the assembling is easy.

In the second embodiment of the present invention, the configuration in the case where the LCD 10 of the type in which the signal line is the flexible line 14 is used will be described. In FIG. 9, the LCD holder 20 holds the end surfaces 10a and 10b of the LCD 10 by using elasticity in the horizontal direction (X direction, Y direction) of the liquid crystal glass surface, and the X direction elastic portion 27.
The LCD 10 is fixed by providing the Y-direction elastic portion 24. Further, in FIG. 11, the clearance δz2 in the Z direction between the glass 11a and the regulating portion 2b is set to about 0.5 mm, similar to δz1. Further, the X-direction elastic portion 27 has a taper upper surface 27a as shown in FIG. 10, so that when the LCD 10 is assembled as described in the first embodiment, the LCD 10 is LC.
When it falls into the D holder 20 and fits in it, the X direction elastic portion 2
Since the 7 escapes so as to open with the component force f of the downward force F, the assemblability is not impaired.

Even if the position dimension of 7 is rough, pressure is applied only in the horizontal X and Y directions to the glass surface of the liquid crystal display, including during assembly, and no external force in the vertical direction is applied to the glass surface. No quality problems such as defects occur. Further, it is possible to simplify the assembling at a low cost.
