BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION A large number of so-called pregnancy diagnostic agents, which test for the presence of pregnancy by applying urine, are on the market. This type of diagnostic tool spreads to the test section while urine permeates when urine is applied to the tip of the urine collection part made of urine absorbing material.
The principle is that a predetermined reaction is performed during that time. In this urine soak-introduced pregnancy test device, the absorber does not receive a sufficient amount of urine for measurement (and therefore, a sufficient amount of urine is not introduced into the test part), so as to avoid an accident that may result in a poor determination,
Each company has instructed them to put enough urine (5 seconds or more) on the package insert. However, this has led to an increase in the number of accidents in which the result is not displayed within a predetermined time and eventually the measurement is impossible, even though a sufficient amount of urine is applied. It is not necessary to explain that the causal relationship can be easily estimated for the former accident based on insufficient urine volume, but the latter case is not easy. In addition, the investigation of the cause of the accident in the latter case shows that this phenomenon is extremely rare (generally occurs at a rate of once in 1,000 times), and a woman directly It must be a method of applying urine to the device. Because of this, it was impossible to actually observe it, and it was extremely difficult to investigate the cause itself. Therefore, it was the actual situation that each company had to replace the product with a new one as the product complaint processing method. Therefore, as a result of conducting repeated experiments assuming all possible possibilities and conducting diligent research, we were able to find out what might occur in the following usage situations. That is, as shown in FIG. 12, it is the correct usage to grasp one end of the holder 1 and put the urine with the other end of the urine absorber 2 facing downward, but as shown in FIG. It was found that a judgment accident is likely to occur when the 2 is directed upward and the urine is applied excessively. Although the occurrence frequency is much lower than that in the above case where the absorbent body 2 faces upward, it occurs even when the urine absorbent body 2 is almost horizontal as shown in FIG. It was also found to get. Next, as a result of detailed elucidation of the phenomena that occur in these usage situations, it was found that they are caused by the following common phenomena. That is, when urine is applied to the tip of the urine collection part, the urine absorbs and permeates and gradually develops to the test part, during which a predetermined reaction is performed, but urine is applied in excess of the maximum water content of the urine absorber 2. Then, as shown in FIGS. 13 and 14, the absorption is not completed and the overflow starts. This overflow is an overflow 3 flowing on the outer surface of the urine absorber 2 and an overflow 4 flowing inside the urine absorber 2.
Although it is divided into and, it is not an independent flow because it is controlled by gravity. In the original usage situation, that is, when the urine absorber 2 which is the tip of the urine collecting portion is facing downward,
As shown in FIG. 12, the urine for the overflow naturally flows down and is dropped and discharged as it is. However, when the tip is directed upward as shown in FIG. 13, most of the overflow 3 is discharged as an external flow, but part of it contributes to the generation of the internal overflow 4 and enters the inside of the main body. In some cases, the test section may be reached via a route other than the normal route. If this infiltrated urine adheres to the test part or its end earlier than the permeation development time when it penetrates the original route and reaches the test part, the urine permeation expansion from the original route should be performed. Will hinder it. In other words, the result that the result is not displayed within a predetermined time (usually a few minutes) even though a sufficient amount of urine is taken and the measurement is finally impossible is due to this urine permeation expansion inhibition phenomenon. I was able to find out for the first time. Therefore, it has become clear for the first time that this phenomenon is a common cause of accidents that can occur in any model of any manufacturer if it is a penetrating and deploying type test drug.

The details of the first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3. Reference numeral 11a denotes an upper holder member having a see-through window (not shown) formed in the middle thereof. The lower holder has a fitting structure with the upper holder member 11a. The holder 11 is configured by combining the members 11b. At the front end portions where the upper and lower holder members 11a and 11b are butted against each other, downward and upward flat U-shaped cutout recesses 13a and 1 for sandwiching and supporting the urine absorber 12 having a flat prismatic cross-sectional shape are sandwiched and supported.
3b are formed respectively. Both the notch recesses 13a,
By abutting 13b, the sandwiching portion 13 having a cross-sectional shape similar to that of the urine absorber 12 and having a cross-sectional area smaller than the cross-sectional area of the urine absorber 12 is configured. The middle part of the urine absorbent body 12 is clamped and held on the sandwiching portion 13, and the clamped sandwiching serves to locally densify the fibers constituting the urine absorbent body 12 and prevent excessive permeation and inflow of urine. The control unit 14 is configured to operate.
Reference numeral 15 in the figure is built in the holder 11, one end of which is connected to the rear end of the urine absorber 12 so that the urine absorbed by the urine absorber 12 is permeated and expanded from one side to the other side, It is a diagnostic piece that allows a test piece (not shown) to be attached to react with urine and enables visual determination from a see-through window of the upper holder member 11a. Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the upper and lower holder members 11a, 1 constituting the holder 11 are formed.
The thickness t of the front edge of 1b is made large, the area of the sandwiching portion 13 is made large, and more specifically, the area of the control portion 14 is made large so that the effect of suppressing excessive permeation of urine can be effectively controlled.
