Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely support a joining part with a spacer and to prevent the generation of friction scratch on a metal face by inserting plural spacers protruding from the internal and external circumference with putting-in plural joining parts of metal coils piled up on the same rotary shaft. SOLUTION: Mutual internal terminals and mutual external terminals of coils adjoining on the upper side and the lower side of plural numbers of metal coils, 11, 12, 13, 14, etc., having a different coiling direction on every coils are joined as a coil A and they are piled up on the same rotary shaft. They are piled up while four spacers 16 of plastic are inserted in a state holding the joining part 15 connected from the lower side coil to the slant upper side. The spacers 16 are made in the state of producing from the internal circumference and the external circumference of each metal bar coil 11, 12. Therefore, because the joining part 15 is supported surely by the spacers 16 in the state of being inserted between them, at the time of handling, the joining part is not rubbed on the metal bar coil front face 17 and the generation of minor scratch can be prevented.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, a metal strip is processed into a metal ingot having desired characteristics and thickness by repeating rolling and heat treatment. Further, various surface treatments and the like may be performed, but the sheet is finally cut to a desired width by a slitter. Then, a coil of a metal strip wound with the width direction of the strip parallel to the center axis of the coil and with the slit edges aligned is produced. The wound metal strip is then processed as a metal material by processing equipment such as surface treatment such as plating and painting and plastic working by press. In these subsequent processing steps, it is essential to continuously unwind the metal strip and take out the strip. Therefore, removal of this strip is an important step that affects productivity and quality in the processing step of the metal strip.

[0003] Conventionally, as an uncoiler system of a metal strip, a vertical uncoiler system, a horizontal product uncoiler system, and a traverse system have been typically implemented. The above-mentioned vertical uncoiler system is a method in which coils are set vertically on an uncoiler like a reel of a projector, and coils are taken out by rotating the coils. In this method, after using one coil, the next coil must be set one by one, so that the operator normally changes the posture of the coils stacked side by side on a pallet (stand) one by one to a vertical type. It takes time to set them, and the operating rate of processing equipment such as press machines is extremely low. Also, the work of setting and setting a heavy coil from a horizontal position was dangerous. It is necessary to stop the work of the processing equipment for each coil and to set the starting end of the coil to the processing equipment by stopping the operation thereof, thereby lowering the operation rate of the processing equipment and further reducing the length of one coil. It could not be processed by the processing equipment, and the product length was limited.

In the horizontal stacking type uncoiler system, the coils stacked sideways on a pallet (stand) are placed together with the pallet on the turntable of the uncoiler, and the coil strips are rotated (turned in or out) while rotating the turntable. This is a method of taking out one coil at a time from top to bottom. Unlike the above-mentioned vertical type, this method greatly improves workability in that coils stacked horizontally on a pallet can be installed on the turntable of the uncoiler for each pallet as it is, However, the disadvantages of the vertical system still remain. That is, the processing equipment is stopped every time the unwinding of one coil is completed, and the starting end of the next coil is set in the apparatus, or when the unwinding of one coil approaches the end, the end is moved to the next lower part. It was necessary to weld to the beginning of the coil.

[0005] In the last traverse method, a slit is welded to form a long strip, which is repeatedly wound on a reel in the form of a thread repeatedly, for example, from the left end to the right end and from the right end to the left end. This is a method of unwinding one reel while rotating the reel. This method is advantageous in that it can handle continuous-length strips, but on the other hand, the work of winding the strips on the reel is troublesome and time-consuming. In addition, if the condition of winding the strip on the reel is not good, the strip will shift during transportation, the surface will be scratched, the strip cannot be taken out, and the splice part of the strip wound on the surface of the strip will not be removed. Since they are always overlapped with each other, minute scratches are generated, so that they cannot be used in applications where the required characteristics of the surface are severe. As described above, each of the methods has many disadvantages in terms of workability, productivity, metal strip quality, strip yield (effective utilization), and the like. It cannot be said that the required performance is satisfied.

Therefore, as a result of various studies to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, the present inventors have developed a coil strip taking-out method which is completely different from the conventional coil uncoiler method shown below. According to the above-mentioned coil strip taking-out method disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 4-36766, a plurality of coils 1 which are laid sideways on a pallet 7 as shown in the perspective view of FIG. , 2, 3, ... Adjacent coils of the adjacent coils or outer ends of the coils are sequentially joined and placed on the turntable 8 of the uncoiler in a stacked state, and the turntable 8 is rotated in one direction. However, the uppermost metal strip end P can be pulled out in the X direction, and the strip can be continuously taken out from the upper coil to the lower coil via the inner ends or the outer ends of the adjacent coils that are joined. With this coil strip taking-out method, there is no step in the joint portion, and it is possible to smoothly take out continuous coil strips without causing distortion that makes it unusable for processing, and there is an effect that interruption of processing work is not necessary at all. It is a thing.

However, in the continuous coil used in the coil strip taking-out method disclosed in the above Japanese Patent Publication No. 4-36766, the inner end of the coil to be stacked with the lower coil or the outer end of the coil to be stacked. Since the joint part of is wound diagonally, it is extremely difficult to wind it with tension applied to this joint part due to the characteristics that come from the material of the strip, and this part inevitably hangs down, and for processing When taking out the metal strip, a minute scratch may be generated on the surface of the metal strip due to the portion. Therefore, as a result of further research conducted by the present inventors, in order to prevent the sagging phenomenon of the joint portion, a continuous coil spacer is interposed between the coils to manufacture a continuous coil, or the process is moved to a processing facility such as plastic working. We have developed a technology that does not cause minute scratches on the surface of metal strips during or when removing coil strips.

3. A plurality of coils of metal strips, which are placed horizontally and have different winding directions for each coil, are joined by joining inner ends or outer ends of adjacent coils, and rotating the coils. With the axes aligned, insert four plastic spacers so that they hang across the hanging joint that is connected diagonally upward from below and stick out from the inner and outer circumferences of the coil and at right angles to each other. A continuous coil, characterized in that by stacking the metal strips in order, when the metal strips are taken out, it is possible to prevent the sagging joint portions from rubbing and producing minute scratches on the surface of the metal strips.
