As a compound needle having this kind of transfer function, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 3-104970 previously proposed by the present applicant.
Japanese Patent Publication No. 4-289252 and JP-A-5-7896.
No. 2 publication is available. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 3-104970 and Japanese Patent Publication No. 4-289252 disclose that a slider groove is formed by cutting substantially the entire upper edge of the shank portion of the needle body in the longitudinal direction to insert and support the shank portion of the slider. To do. And on the needle body from the cheek to the shank tip,
The tongue of the slider gradually rises from the top edge of the cheek, and while advancing, it lowers the height of the cheek part of the needle body while contacting the hook and surely catching the supplied knitting yarn in the hook A slider groove having a deep groove near the cheek portion and a shallow groove near the main body is formed by cutting from the upper and lower edges of the needle body. By forming the cam surface formed in the deep groove portion shallow on the side close to the hook and deep on the side far from the hook, the arc-shaped sliding edge formed on the lower edge of the tongue of the slider fitted in the slider groove is formed. The movement of the slider as described above is realized by moving back and forth along the cam surface. Incidentally, in describing the respective parts of the needle body and the slider that compose the compound needle in the present specification, the longitudinal direction of the compound needle mounted on the needle bed is the front-back direction, the hook side is the front side, and the other is the rear side. means. Further, the direction orthogonal to the needle bed surface represents up or down or height.

However, in the compound needle disclosed in the above-mentioned publication, the slider groove formed in the needle body from the cheek to the shank tip is milled from both the upper and lower edges of the needle body. A communication hole that is orthogonal to the direction in which the needle advances and retracts is formed in the portion. This not only increases the number of steps required to manufacture the compound needle, but also forms an inclined surface as an entrance guide that is formed on the side surface of the needle body and guides the stitch receiving needle at the time of transfer between the elastic guide and the needle body. It cannot be formed sufficiently and accurate guidance of the stitch receiving needle cannot be guaranteed.

Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 5-78962 relates to the improvement of the above-mentioned compound needle, in which an inclined surface is formed not only on the needle body side but also on the slider side and both inclined surfaces are combined to guide the stitch receiving needle. Is. However, in this method, since the stitch receiving needle is guided by the inclined surface of the tongue, the portion may be fatigued and damaged or deformed due to the impact generated at the time of guiding, and the durability of the slider remains a problem.

Further, in the above-mentioned compound needle, in order to maintain a predetermined position in the needle groove without being influenced by the forward / backward movement of the needle body inserted in the same needle groove, the slider has a longitudinal direction. The slider is prevented from slipping by fitting and fixing a spacer made of an elastic plate with the tip extended rearward to the non-fitting part that extends from the vicinity of the control butt protruding to the rear side of the needle to the rear end I am trying. However, the control butt provided on the slider is always elastically urged so as to protrude from the needle bed surface, and the upper edge of the control bat is selectively pressed by the presser cam or the like arranged on the cam carriage to move the control butt to the needle bed. When controlling the forward / backward movement of the slider by selecting the engagement / non-engagement with the slider cam by projecting / withdrawing from the surface, it is necessary to attach the spacer to the above-mentioned location so that the slider is responsive to the movement in the projecting / retracting direction. Therefore, the biasing force of a biasing means such as a jack that always elastically biases the slider upward has to be set to a large value in advance.

Further, since the upper edge of the tongue of the slider is formed uniformly flat, the upper edge of the tongue, which is moving in the direction of closing the hook during stitch knitting in which stitches held by the needle follow, slides along the upper edge of the tongue to close the hook. After that, the stitches are knocked over beyond the hook portion, but before the closure of the hook is completed, the stitch falls again from the tip of the tongue into the hook, which causes a problem of not being knocked over. This problem particularly occurs when rib knitting is performed using needles of front and rear needle beds. There is no problem in the case of a general V-shaped flat knitting machine in which the crossing angle between the front and rear needle beds to be opposed to each other is designed to be about 100 degrees, but there is no problem. A tubular knitted fabric having a rib knitting structure is knitted by using a so-called four-bed flat knitting machine in which a pair of needle beds is further arranged above the front and rear needle beds as disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-51850. Can happen if you do. 4
In the case of a flat bed flat knitting machine, the crossing angle formed by the front and rear lower needle beds and the upper needle bed is, for example, 120 to 130 degrees, and therefore should be knocked over by the needle on the other needle bed for drawing the knitting yarn. This is because the stitches are drawn in and fall from the slider tongue before the hook closes.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION In addition to the function of the above-mentioned compound needle, the present invention is capable of reliably guiding the stitch receiving needle at the time of transfer into the stitch held by the stitch passing needle. An object is to provide a composite needle for transfer. Another object of the present invention is to provide a composite needle for transfer of a knitting machine, which can reduce the action of sliding resistance applied to the protruding and retracting direction of the slider control butt. It is another object of the present invention to provide a compound needle that ensures knockover of stitches even when the crossing angle between the front and rear needle beds is designed to be gentle.

In the compound needle of the present invention, a stitch expanding member is fixed on one side surface of the main body, and a thin body portion in which the side surface of the needle body facing the stitch expanding portion is cut off and this thin wall portion. The lower end of the side surface of the main body is cut off to provide an inclined surface for guiding the entry of the stitch receiving needle. As a result, the distance between the needle body and the stitch expanding portion can be widened, and the inclined surface can be formed by deeply cutting in the thickness direction of the needle body. Since the allowable range of the approach path of the stitch receiving needle can be increased by the depth of cut, the stitch receiving needle is inclined even if the stitch tension increases due to swinging of the needle bed and the stitch passing needle bends in the lateral direction. You can guide with and guide to the regular route to enter the stitch.

A height of the cheek portion is made lower than that of the hook portion, and a tongue storing portion is formed above the inclined surface so that a tongue for retracting the slider is retracted from the cheek upper edge of the needle body. The slider support surface of the storage portion has a rising slope toward the hook portion. Since the outer circumference of the cheek portion can be kept small, the load on the stitches locked by the needles can be reduced, and the knitting of the stitches with a corresponding amount can be performed. Similarly, the yarn supplied to the needle at the time of forming the stitches is advanced while the tongue moves upward by the slope, so that the yarn can be reliably guided into the hook.

Engagement portions are provided on the needle body and the slider to position the slider when the slider retracts. As a result, the tongue of the slider that has advanced to the hook side is stored in the tongue storage portion. The first slider, which has a hook portion at the tip and is inserted and supported in the slider groove of the needle body, has a connecting portion at the rear end of the shank and has a control butt protruding from the upper edge of the shank, and is approximately equal in thickness to the needle body. It is fitted and fixed in a longitudinal groove formed in the second slider having a thickness. The second slider is provided with a plate-like body that is pressed against the side wall of the needle groove. This prevents the slider from moving and stabilizes the position of the slider in the needle groove.

As shown in FIG. 4, the side surface of the needle body shown by reference numeral 8 facing the elastic guide portion 31 is cut, and the thickness of the needle body 2 at that portion is smaller than that of the other portions. The area up to the rising slope 23a of the tongue provided in the portion 23 is formed thin. The thin main body portion 8 has an inclined surface 36 formed below the tongue storage portion 23 and having a deeper depth of cut toward the lower edge of the main body, and the stitch receiving needle of the opposing needle bed is guided by the inclined surface 36 to be elastic. It can be inserted between the guide portion 31 and the needle main body 2, and can enter into the stitch hung between the needle main body 2 and the elastic guide portion 31. By making the body portion 2 thin, it is possible to increase the distance between the elastic guide portion and the needle body, so that the space for entering the stitch receiving needle can be increased. This is particularly advantageous as a fine gauge compound needle for knitting fine stitches. FIG. 4-C is a cross-sectional view taken along the line I-I in FIG. 4-A and shows a state in which the inclined surface 36 and the tongue 22 of the slider 3 are supported on the needle body 2 above the inclined surface 36. As can be seen from the figure, the hook portion (not shown) of the stitch receiving needle that advances is a wall whose inclined surface does not collide with the tongue 22 of the slider 3. FIG. 4-D shows the plan view of FIG. 4-A with the slider removed.

The lower edge of the tongue 22 has an arc shape along the sliding support surface of the tongue storage portion 23 formed on the needle body 2. At the upper edge of the tongue 22, there are formed a flat portion 59 that comes into contact with the hook from the tip, followed by an inclined portion 60 having a gentle descending inclined surface extending rearward and a low flat portion 61. The inclined portion 60 formed on the upper edge of the tongue acts to delay the timing of knockover of the stitch to be knocked over by sliding on the upper edge of the tongue during stitch formation, and the hook of the needle is closed during that time. Eliminates the trouble that the stitch falls from the tip of the tongue 7 into the hook. Further, the connecting portion 57 has a projecting portion 63 having an inclined surface 63a with a deeply cut base portion at the upper edge and a corrugated concave portion 65 at the lower edge.

The second slider 51 has substantially the same thickness as the thickness of the needle body 2, and has a control butt 69 of the same thickness protruding from the needle bed surface on the upper edge of the shank 67 and the first slider 50 in front of it. Slope 63a formed on the protruding portion 63 of the
And a slanted surface 71 that fits into a notch formed at the upper edge of the shank 53. Control bat 69 for the second slider 51
The lower edge side of the shank 67 at the position where is provided is cut to form a longitudinal groove 73, and the rear end of the shank 53 of the first slider 50 is fitted into the groove, and the first slider 5 is inserted.
Both members 50 and 51 are fixed to the 0 recessed portion 65 by caulking the side wall of the longitudinal groove 73. In the second slider 51, a plate-like body 75 is formed by extending the groove side wall of the longitudinal groove 73 forward along the side surface of the shank 53 of the first slider 50 as shown in the figure, and at the center of the plate-like body 75. The portion is curved so as to be pressed against the side wall of the needle groove. This provides a required sliding resistance in the needle groove of the slider 3 and prevents the needle body 2 from moving along with the movement of the needle body 2 when the needle body 2 moves back and forth. Since the plate-like member 75 that elastically biases the side wall of the needle groove is positioned so as to extend to the non-fitting portion of the front portion of the control butt 69 with the needle main body 2, the influence of the control butt 69 on the retracting operation from the needle bed surface is affected. Can be reduced.

Since the compound needle of the present invention is constructed as described above, the manufacturing of the compound needle is relatively easy and the cost for manufacturing the compound needle can be reduced. Then, the knitting yarn supplied to the needle can be reliably caught by the hook, and the knitting of the stitch can be further performed, and the stitch receiving needle at the time of transfer can be stitched by the inclined surface formed below the tongue storage portion of the needle body. It can be surely guided in the stitches locked by the transfer needle. At that time, the inclined surface serves as a wall, and the hook of the stitch receiving needle does not collide with the slider, which allows the compound needle to be used for a long time. By cutting the side surface of the main body to widen the distance between the stitch expanding member and the needle main body, an entry space for the stitch receiving needle can be secured, which is advantageous as a transfer needle for a fine gauge.
