Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure in which a leakage of drain water caused by corrosion of an installing material or the like is eliminated, component parts are stored in compact and a superior service may be attained. SOLUTION: An air blowing fan 13 and a heat exchanger 12 are assembled to a frame made of resin. The frame is covered by an outer fixing case member 60 comprised of a rear plate of metal sheet, a U-shaped side plate and a lower side plate. The case member is fitted to a wooden installing frame 4 so as to prevent drain water from dripping directly to the frame 4. Refrigerant pipes 31a, 31b are arranged under utilization of a space S enclosed by a lower side plate 53 and a slant mounted discharging port forming plate 38 above the lower side plate so as to improve a compact structure and its workability.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, when a house or building is newly built, an indoor unit of an air conditioner of a type in which an indoor unit and an outdoor unit are separated is installed so as to be embedded in a wall portion of the room, and then installed on the outdoor unit side. Condensing unit consisting of a compressor and a condenser installed, and the heat exchanger unit on the indoor unit side are connected by a refrigerant pipe so that the indoor unit does not have a conspicuous protrusion inside the room by installation, Some ideas have been proposed to maintain aesthetics.

In addition, the piping is generally arranged so that it exists outside the heat exchanger or the blower fan. Therefore, a space for installing the pipe is required in addition to the structure of the heat exchanger or the blower fan, and the indoor unit is required. There are problems that the structure becomes large as a whole, problems that it is difficult to design for securing a space, and that the pipes are crushed when the indoor unit is installed because the structure is exposed.

Thus, the back plate 51, the U-shaped side plate 52,
An exterior case body 60 that covers and surrounds the indoor unit body in a rectangular parallelepiped shape excluding the front surface by the three exterior components of the lower side plate 53 is assembled and formed. Finally, the exterior case body 60 is fitted into the wooden installation frame 4 and firmly installed and fixed in the wall portion 3. After installation, the back surface of the indoor unit 1 is exposed so that the back side is not exposed. The back plate 51 of the exterior case body 60 is located on the back side of the indoor unit 1, and the back plate 51 forms a substantially flat surface. Therefore, there is an advantage that the wall can be easily installed.

The structure after installation is as shown in FIG. 3, and as a result, the space portion S is formed at the corner portion by the lower surface side plate 53 and the discharge port forming plate 38 inclinedly installed above it. Utilizing this space S, two large and small refrigerant tubes 31 with different thicknesses drawn from the heat exchanger 12 are drawn here.
It is arranged so that a and 31b are pushed in. By thus covering the indoor unit with the outer case body 60, the drain water generated by dew condensation on the refrigerant pipe drops on the metal lower side plate 53 of the outer case body 60, and the wooden installation covered with it is installed. Since the upper surface 4b of the frame 4 does not droop directly, it is possible to prevent the installation frame 4 from rotting and to extend the installation life.

Further, when the wall portion of the indoor unit 1 is embedded, the refrigerant pipe 31
Is connected to the refrigerant pipe 33 on the outdoor unit side.
At this time, first, the mounting screws 59, 59 are removed to remove the lower surface side plate 53.
Pull out to the front and remove. Next, the set screws 44, 44 are removed to disassemble the discharge port forming plate 38 from the drain pan 36,
Remove from the outer case body 60. Then, as shown in FIG. 4, since these two parts 53 and 38 are eliminated, an opening 62 wider than the air discharge port 7 is formed and the refrigerant pipes 31a and 31b are exposed. Therefore, the refrigerant pipes 31a and 31b are pulled out forward, and the monkey spanner 63 is used to cool the outdoor unit side refrigerant pipes 33a and 3b.
The work of screwing and fixing with 3b and the hexagonal connection mouthpiece 35 can be easily performed. In addition, the refrigerant pipe 3 from the outdoor unit side
3a and 33b are one through holes 6 provided in the back plate 51.
The inside of the indoor unit 1 enters from 4. Further, the other hole portion 65 (see FIG. 2) provided in the back plate 51 is a drain for pumping and draining drain water introduced from the drain pan 36 by a drain water pump (not shown) provided in the indoor unit 1 and drained. It is a through hole for pulling out the water drainage hose.

After connecting the refrigerant pipes, the lower side plate 53 is attached as it is, and then the discharge port forming plate 38 is attached and fixed so as to press the refrigerant pipes 31a and 31b.
1b is stored in the space portion S of the corner portion surrounded by the lower surface side plate 53 and the discharge port forming plate 38. Conventionally, the piping was formed only by pushing it in by hand, so the formability of the pipe was poor, but in this configuration, since the pressing by the discharge port forming plate 38 is applied, the formability of the pipe is improved and the pipe can be fixed in a proper position. Furthermore, since the space for installing pipes is secured inside, the design specifications do not require a separate space for installing pipes as in the past, and a simple structure and cost can be reduced, and a compact structure can be achieved. As a result, the overall workability including piping work is greatly improved.

Further, such a piping portion is provided in the outer case body 60.
Since it is protected by, the conventional piping can be satisfactorily installed without crushing the piping portion with the installation frame 4 which tends to occur when installing the indoor unit where the piping is exposed.

As described above, according to the invention of claim 1,
Even if it is an indoor unit that is embedded in a wall, when components such as a blower fan, heat exchanger, and piping are assembled into a resin frame to form an indoor unit, these components are not exposed and are made of multiple sheet metal. Since the outer case is formed by enclosing it in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped with the outer plate, and the mounting method is such that it is fitted inside the installation wooden frame on the wall side, the drain water generated in the piping portion first drops is the wooden frame. Since it does not drip directly on the wooden frame unlike the conventional case because it is received by the exterior case that covers the wooden frame, it does not spoil the wooden frame. You can prevent things such as hygiene. Also, since the piping is protected by the outer case,
There is no need to worry about being crushed by hitting the wooden frame when fitting, and installation work can be performed safely and stably, improving workability.

Further, according to the invention of claim 2, the refrigerant pipe drawn out from the heat exchanger for connecting the outdoor unit side and the indoor unit side to each other by piping is formed in the lower portion of the heat exchanger to form the air discharge port. Since it is arranged by using the space surrounded by the plate and the lower side plate of the outer case below the plate, it is possible to secure the space for piping installation inside without separately designing,
As well as being able to store pipes in an orderly manner,
Can have a compact structure.

Further, according to the third aspect of the invention, by removing the air discharge port forming plate and the lower side plate, an opening can be obtained in which the refrigerant pipe can be pulled out and a connecting tool such as a spanner can be easily inserted. It becomes very easy to fix the pipe connection with the refrigerant pipe from the machine side. Further, after connection, since the pipe portion can be fixed so as to be pressed and surrounded by the air discharge port forming plate and the lower side plate at a predetermined position, it is easier to form the pipe than in the conventional state where it is simply pushed by hand. It is possible to obtain effects such as improved serviceability.
