Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a claw at one of connector plates to be overlapped to each other, form a hole at the other connector plate to which this claw is engaged, connect both heat exchangers by small screws and facilitate an assembling work within a short period of time after performing a temporary fixing of the claw in the hole. SOLUTION: Connecting plates 18 and 19 are projected from a front side heat exchanger 14 and a rear side heat exchanger 15. Small screws 21 are thredably inserted into some small screw holes formed at connecting plates to be overlapped to each other to connect them. Although prior to this connection, a lateral claw 22 formed at one connecting plate of the right and left side projecting connection plates 18, 19 of a heat exchanger is fitted to a lateral hole 24 formed at a corresponding connector plate. Similarly, a vertical claw 23 connected to the other connecting plate of the right and left side connecting plates is fitted to a vertical hole 25 of a corresponding connection plate. With such an arrangement as above, a connection with the small screws 21 is carried out after performing a temporary fitting.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, an air conditioner comprises an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. The outdoor unit takes in outside air with a fan and exchanges heat between the outside air and the refrigerant in the heat exchanger. The refrigerant cooled and compressed by the outside air is sent to the indoor unit. In the indoor unit, indoor air is taken in by a fan and heat is exchanged between the air and the refrigerant in the heat exchanger. The cooled air blows out as cold air into the room. In the indoor unit of this air conditioner, a cross flow fan is generally used.
The cross-flow fan has a large number of elongated blades arranged in a circle with their longitudinal directions parallel to each other, and has a cylindrical shape as a whole. This cylindrical cross-flow fan rotates around a rotation axis that runs around the center of the cylinder.

A heat exchanger 51 as shown in FIG. 5 is attached to a flow path of air in the room that takes in the cross flow fan. In the heat exchanger 51, for example, a front heat exchanger 52 arranged on the front side of the cross flow fan and a rear heat exchanger 53 arranged on the rear side are connected to each other, and the connecting portion has a bent shape in a cross section. The cross flow fan is arranged so as to surround it. In particular, the indoor unit of the energy-saving air conditioner requires a large-capacity heat exchanger in order to efficiently perform heat exchange. However, it becomes a shape that surrounds the circumference of the cross flow fan, and the entire shape becomes complicated.

When assembling a heat exchanger having a complicated shape, a connecting plate formed at a predetermined angle is used so that the bending angle becomes a predetermined angle. The connecting plates are provided on both heat exchangers so as to project from each other, and these are overlapped and connected by screws. The assembly of the heat exchanger connected by the screws is usually performed in a production line, and as described above, the front heat exchanger and the rear heat exchanger are maintained in a predetermined bending state, and a plurality of screws are used. It is done by connecting.

However, in the manufacturing line, when the heat exchanger has a complicated shape, it is necessary to maintain the bent state of the heat exchanger at a predetermined angle and to connect the heat exchanger with screws. It becomes extremely difficult and time is required for connection work. Therefore, a procedure is taken in which the heat exchanger is once removed from the production line, the connection, that is, the heat exchanger is assembled outside the production line, and then the assembled heat exchanger is returned to the production line.

The assembly of the heat exchanger 3 will be described below. The front heat exchanger 14 and the rear heat exchanger 15 are assembled by an assembling operator on the manufacturing line. First, connecting plates 18, 19 protruding from both heat exchangers 14, 15 with both heat exchangers 14, 15 left on the manufacturing line.
Are stacked with the connecting plates on the left end, and with the connecting plates on the right end. At this time, the lateral claws 22 formed on the left end connecting plates 18 and 19 are moved in the lateral direction and fitted into the lateral holes 24. Then, the vertical claw 23 formed on the left end connecting plates 18 and 19 is fitted into the vertical hole 25. By this fitting, temporary fixing is performed, and both heat exchangers 14 and 15 can maintain a certain degree of strength in the vertical and horizontal directions. In this state, the screws 21 are screwed into and fixed in the screw holes of the connecting plates 18 and 19 that are stacked. Since the temporary fixing can be performed in this manner, the connection by the screw 21 can be performed in a short time. Because it can be done in a short time,
There is no need to remove the heat exchangers 14 and 15 from the manufacturing line once for the purpose of connection as in the conventional case. Therefore, the assembly work becomes easy.

According to the present invention, the claws formed on one of the front heat exchanger and the rear heat exchanger that constitute the heat exchanger are fitted into the holes formed in the other and temporarily Since the connection is made with screws after being stopped, it is easy to maintain the predetermined angle of bending by temporary fixing, and therefore the connection can be done without lowering it from the production line. Therefore, the assembly is easy and the time is short. It will be. Further, when stacking the connecting plates protruding from the heat exchanger, the horizontal claws formed on the connecting plates protruding from the left end or the right end of the heat exchanger are fitted into the horizontal holes, and the right end of the heat exchanger or By fitting the vertical claw formed on the connecting plate projecting at the left end into the vertical hole, temporary fixing can be performed in the left and right and up and down directions, and then the overlapping connecting plates are formed. By connecting with screws through the screw holes, stable assembly work can be done easily.
