Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously prevent any fungi from being produced in an air conditioner upon cooling by forcedly performing air fan operation for a predetermined time after air conditioning operation in order to remove water in the air conditioner. SOLUTION: A cooling or heating operation switch is turned on to start the operation of an air conditioner. A desired operation is started with the foregoing operation, but when at that time the air conditioner in operation is required to be interrupted, an operation interruption switch is turned on, and an operation interruption switch is sent to a control part in the air conditioner through a remote controller, etc. A timer part in the air conditioner is turned on with the sent signal to forcedly achieve air fan operation for about 3 minutes, and after the forced operation the air conditioner is automatically interrupted. Hereby, any fungi are previously prevented from being produced in the air conditioner and hence bad odor is prevented from being produced.

2. Description of the Related Art As is well known, the operation of a conventional air conditioner is as shown in the flow chart of FIG. Referring to FIG. 2, when the operation is started, a desired operation switch such as cooling and heating is turned on to start the operation of the air conditioner. A desired operation is started by this operation. When it is desired to stop the air conditioner in operation, the operation stop switch is turned on, and if it is a remote controller, an operation stop signal is transmitted to the control unit in the air conditioner body. When the stop signal is input by the switch of the main body, the operation stop signal is directly transmitted to the control unit. Conventionally, the operation of the air conditioner main body is stopped at the same time when this operation stop signal is output to the control unit.

Among the air conditioners, one that has a function of cooling, heating, dehumidification, etc. by one unit and can be operated throughout the year has become widespread and generalized. However, especially in domestic air conditioners, the number of cases in which they are always operated throughout the year is small, and in most cases, the operation and stop are adjusted by the ambient temperature, such as cooling in summer and heating in winter. ing.

In the case of use as described above, for example, there is a certain interval between the cooling operation and the next cooling operation, or from the cooling time to the next heating time, and conversely from the heating time to the cooling time. At this time, especially when the cooling is stopped, water droplets are likely to adhere to the inside of the air conditioner, and this moisture may cause mold in the pipe or near the outlet. In particular, as the cooling stop interval is longer, mold is more likely to be attached, and when the cooling or heating operation is started next time, the bad odor caused by the mold is often filled in the room, which gives the user discomfort.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The operation of the air conditioner of the present invention is shown in the flow chart of FIG. 1, and the operation will be described with reference to this drawing. At the start of operation, a desired operation switch such as cooling and heating is turned on to start the operation of the air conditioner. When this operation control signal is transmitted to the control unit, the timer unit in the air conditioner is turned on to forcibly perform the blowing operation for about 3 minutes. This corresponds to the "fixed time blow operation" in FIG. After the forced operation for 3 minutes, the air conditioner automatically stops.

In this embodiment, the time (timer) during which the air conditioner actually stops after the operation stop signal is output to the control unit is about 3 minutes, but this time is appropriately set depending on the operating conditions such as cooling and dehumidification. Of course you can change it,
This timer may be changed from a few minutes to a dozen minutes as long as the water remaining in the air conditioner can be evaporated.

Further, as described above, water droplets are often attached to the inside of the air conditioner because the air conditioner is often operated at a temperature lower than the ambient temperature (room temperature) such as cooling and dehumidifying.
It is preferable to operate the timer only in such a case, but the timer may be operated after the entire operation of the air conditioner.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION With the above structure, water droplets adhering to the inside of the air conditioner can be dried by blowing air, etc., moisture does not remain in the air conditioner after the operation is stopped, and mold can be prevented from occurring. The stench is gone.
