Disclosed is that-(1-piperazino) pyrido [2,3-d] pyrimidin-5-one hydrochloride has anti-inflammatory activity. Further, JP-A-59-95287 discloses pyrido [2,3-d].
It is disclosed that the pyrimidine derivative has an action of increasing the contractility of the heart. Furthermore, recently, Antiviral Chemistry
& Chemotherapy), Volume 5, Issue 3, pages 169-175 (199
4 years), 8-alkyl-2- (pyridin-4-yl) pyrido [2,3-d] pyrimidin-5 (8H) -one was reported to be effective against AIDS virus. . On the other hand, at present, nucleic acid derivatives represented by acyclovir are widely used as anti-herpes virus agents. Acyclovir has been found to have excellent clinical effects on infectious diseases caused by herpes simplex virus and herpes zoster virus, but the emergence of resistant virus has become a problem in AIDS patients and the like. In addition, ganciclovir is used for infectious diseases caused by cytomegalovirus of the same herpesvirus genus, but serious side effects such as neutropenia and thrombocytopenia pose a problem.
