【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 上面にコンタクトガラスが配設され、キ
ャリッジによって、前記コンタクトガラス上に配置され
る原稿を光で走査し、原稿画像に対応する光信号を得る
ことにより、前記原稿画像を光学的に読み取る画像読取
装置において、 ほぼ長方体筒状に形成され、上面の開口部を覆って前記
コンタクトガラスが配設される本体フレームと、 前記コンタクトガラスの周縁部を覆って、前記本体フレ
ームの上面に係合して配設されるガラス押え部材と、 該ガラス押え部材及び前記本体フレームとの間に凹凸係
合部を備え、該凹凸係合部によって、前記本体フレーム
の上面に係合配置された前記ガラス押え部材と、前記本
体フレームの互いに対向する長手方向部分とに係合され
る外装カバーとを有することを特徴とする画像読取装
置。
1.
