A box-shaped housing having an outer surface for mounting a board, a first connector arranged on the outer surface of the housing, and a circuit board mounted on the outer surface of the housing substantially parallel to the outer surface. A magnetic recording device comprising: a second connector disposed on a surface of the circuit board that faces the outer surface, the second connector being removably fitted into the first connector; wherein the circuit board is the housing. A magnetic recording device, characterized in that a locking means is provided at a portion facing to the housing so as to be releasably hooked to the housing and hold the circuit board in a posture substantially parallel to the outer surface of the housing.
