2. Description of the Related Art There are some table top plates provided with a protective rim ring around the outside of the table top for the purpose of protection and reinforcement as well as decorative properties. It may be said that when the top plate body is different in material from the surface, the top plate may easily crack at the interface due to the difference in expansion and contraction between the surface material and the inner member due to temperature change. The rim ring also prevents such cracking. As shown in FIG. 9, when the top plate body 1 has a rectangular shape, the protective edge ring body is formed by using the protective edge pieces 2 having four corners having a certain degree of rigidity from the outer surface in two consecutive directions. There is a structure in which they are butted to form a right angle (conventional example 1). Further, as shown in FIG. 10, a flexible protective edge band 4 is used to integrally attach the entire circumference, and at this time, four corners are each bent at 90 ° (the conventional one is formed). Example 2). In the above-mentioned two examples, since the four corners are sharp, it is dangerous. As shown in FIG. 11, the four corners of the top plate main body are previously formed on the arc-shaped outer peripheral surface 1a, and the whole top plate main body is formed. There is one in which four corners of the top plate are formed in an arc shape along with the arc-shaped outer peripheral surface 1a when a flexible protective edge band is attached to the circumference (conventional example 3). The conventional example 1 has a top plate main body 1
Although it is easy to manufacture the protective edge piece 2 and the protective edge piece 2, when the top plate body 1 is long (for example, one side is 100 cm or more), the cutting dimension of the protective edge pieces 2, 2, ... It is necessary to decide each time according to the temperature at the time of assembly. Further, after the protective edge piece is attached, the top plate body 1 and the protective edge pieces 2, 2, ...
There is a problem in that a gap 3 may be formed in the abutting surfaces of the corners, or a thrust may occur due to the difference in expansion and contraction due to the temperature change between and. In the conventional example 2, the top plate main body 1 and the protective edge band 4 can be easily manufactured similarly to the conventional example 1, but the flexible protective edge band 4 is 90 ° at the corners.
Since it is bent in the direction of the bent surface, the middle part in the width direction is bent at 90 ° at the ridge of the bent surface, but both ends are not bent at 90 ° and easily form an arc shape. There is a defect that a gap 5 is generated and the product has a poor appearance. There is also a drawback that the gap 6 is likely to be formed on the mating surfaces at both ends of the protective edge band 4 due to expansion and contraction due to temperature change. In the conventional example 3, the method of processing the arcuate surface 1a at the corner of the top plate main body 1 is a relatively small product because the top plate is a small quantity product, and therefore the molding cost using a die requires a small equipment cost. This is a large amount of work and is not generally performed. Normally, since the arc-shaped outer peripheral surface 1a of the corner is machined by a learning machine of a cutting machine whose facility cost is low, there is a drawback that the processing man-hour becomes large. is there. Further, in the mating surface of the protective edge band 4 attached with the flexible protective edge band 4 attached to the outer peripheral surface of the top plate main body 1 in which the four corners are previously formed on the arcuate outer peripheral surface 1a, the temperature change is prevented. There is also a drawback that the gap 6 is likely to be generated due to the expansion and contraction. In view of the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional example, the present invention is diligently studied for the purpose of reducing the appearance failure of the mating surface or the abutting surface of the protective edge body, and further reducing the manufacturing process man-hours. It was made by overlapping.

The table top plate of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 8 by taking the case of N = 4 as an example. (A) A top plate body 10 made of a rectangular plywood 13 formed by laminating a surface material 12 'on the surface of a core material 11, and four protections fitted to the four outer peripheral sides of the top plate body 10, respectively. The edge piece 20 and 4 which are fitted in the four corners of the top plate body 10 respectively
The protective edge piece connector 30 is provided (see FIGS. 1 and 2). (B) The top plate body 10 has the inclined surfaces 14 on the four sides of the upper surface of the surface plate 12 toward the outside, and the outer peripheral side surface of the plywood 13 has four sides.
The surface has an engaging groove 15 that faces inward at each intermediate portion (see FIG. 3). (C) Each of the four protective edge pieces 20 is provided integrally with a hollow protective edge plate portion 22 having a through hole 21 in the longitudinal direction, and an inwardly-standing structure at the center of the back surface of the hollow protective edge plate portion 22. A harpoon-like protrusion 23 that fits in the locking groove 15 of the top plate body 10 and an inwardly erected upper end portion are integrally formed. The upper surface forms a part of the top plate top wall and the lower surface inclines inward. It has a top wall strip 25 that forms a slanted surface 24 that abuts one slanted surface 14 on the upper surface of the face plate 12, and a locking strip 26 that is integrally erected inward at the lower end and that contacts the lower surface of the top plate body 10. (See FIGS. 4 and 6). By providing the inclined surface 24 on the protective edge piece 20, the joining area of the top plate with the inclined surface plate 14 of the top plate is widened, which helps prevent the intrusion of liquid or the like from the joined portion, and the tip portion of the inclined surface 14 is elastic. By deforming and press-contacting, the gap at the joint can be made smaller, which is useful for preventing the infiltration of liquid and the like. Also,
The top surface of the top wall strip 25 of the protective edge piece 20 forms a part of the top plate top wall, and the bottom surface is inclined inward so that it can be brought into contact with one inclined surface 14 of the top surface of the top plate 12. Can be formed flat without any step on the upper surface (see FIG. 8). (D) The four protective edge piece connectors 30 are respectively inward arc-shaped, which is in contact with the outer two surfaces 17, 17 of the top plate body 10 in contact with each other, and the inner two surfaces 31, which are substantially equally spaced. Of the outer peripheral surface 32 and the inner two surfaces 31, which are integrally erected inwardly in the central portion of the inner peripheral surface 32 of the ceiling plate body 10 in two continuous engagement grooves 15,
The tongue piece 35 that is fitted into the connecting portion 15 and the upper end portion are integrally erected inwardly in a standing manner, the upper surface forms a part of the top plate top wall, and the lower surface is inclined inward, and the upper surface of the surface plate 12 is continuous. Inclined plane 1
Sequential two-way inclined surface 3 that abuts 4, 4 respectively
6, a top wall piece 37, a locking piece 39 that is integrally erected inwardly at the lower end and is in contact with the lower surface of the top plate main body 10, and is integrally erected on the end surfaces 34, 34 at both ends to protect edges. It has a protrusion 38 that fits into the through hole 21 of the piece 20 (FIG. 5, FIG.
(See FIG. 7). An arcuate outer peripheral surface 32 having a radius of curvature substantially equal to the plate pressure of the hollow protective edge plate portion 22 can be formed on the outer peripheral surface of the protective edge piece connector 30 (see FIGS. 5 and 7).
The protruding portions 38, 38 of the protective edge piece connector 30 are provided with the protective edge piece 20.
Fits into the through hole 21 of the top plate body 10 and absorbs the difference in expansion and contraction due to the temperature difference between the top plate body 10 and the protective edge piece 20 as the deviation of the fitting portion, and when the deviation occurs, the surfaces of the protrusions 38 and 38 are The cloth of the top plate body 10 is not exposed, and the protective edge piece 20 appears.
And, the appearance of the joint portion of the protective edge piece connector 30 is not spoiled. (E) Both end surfaces 34, 34 of the protective edge piece connector 30
The protrusions 38, 38 are fitted into the through holes 21 of the protective edge piece 20 to provide four protective edge pieces 20 and four protective edge piece connectors 30.
It is a table top formed by alternately connecting and and attached to the outer periphery of the top body 10 in a quadrant shape (see FIG. 2).

As described above, the table top plate according to the present invention has the following effects. (1) By forming an arcuate peripheral surface on the outer peripheral surface of the protective edge piece connector without forming an arcuate peripheral surface at the corner of the top plate main body at the corner of the top plate, it is possible to make a circle inexpensively. It can be an arcuate peripheral surface. (2) The difference in thermal expansion and contraction between the top plate body and the protective edge piece is absorbed by the protruding portion of the protective edge piece connector fitted in the through hole of the protective edge piece, and the top plate body material is exposed through the gap. Since it does not, it is possible to reduce the appearance defect of the joint portion. (3) Inclining the mating surface of the top plate body and the protective curb,
Furthermore, by elastically deforming and pressing the tip end portion of the inclined surface of the protective edge return member, the gap can be made smaller and the infiltration of liquid can be reduced. (4) The top plate surface can be formed flat without causing a step due to the protective edging body.
