Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the daylighting installation which can be installed to a building with no extensive modification made without fear that the roof leaks in the room. CONSTITUTION: The daylighting installation 8 is made up of a daylighting unit 9, a light duct 10 disposed in a place starting from the lower end of the daylighting unit 9 over to a room, and of a reflecting mirror 11 disposed at the corner section of the light duct 10, and the daylighting installation 8 is installed in a space starting from the eaves 12 of a building 1 over to the wall 6 of a room 5 to which light is directed. The daylighting unit 9 is made up of one or a plurality of plate prisms 33 which are projected out of the roof 2 of the building 1 in such a way as to be freely rotated in the horizontal direction, and of a control mechanism controlling the plate prisms 33 in rotation to form a proper prism angle in response to the movement of the sun. Besides, the installation of the plate prisms may be transformed into another configuration where the plate prisms are disposed along the slope of the roof 2 and the like.

In the conventional solar lighting device, the lighting part is installed on the roof part of the building as described above, and the light is guided to each room through the light guide means provided on the ceiling. Because of this, there were the following problems. (1) The installation work of the daylighting device is a troublesome work because it involves a large-scale modification including a duct work from the roof to the room through the attic. (2) Since it is necessary to make a hole for installing a daylighting section on the roof, there is a risk of rain leakage in the room due to long-term use, even if it is carried out with considerable accuracy. (3) Further, in the case of the configuration of the daylighting unit using the lens and the mirror, the control for tracking the sun requires a highly accurate technique, and the production of the control program becomes expensive.

In the sunlight collecting device of the present invention, the flat plate prism provided in the daylighting section is rotated so as to have an appropriate angle according to the operation of the sun, but the portion to be attached to the eaves is composed of one or a plurality of flat plate prisms. Since the rotation mechanism and the optical duct etc. can be installed on the ground, the parts attached to the eaves can be made lightweight and compact. Therefore, it is possible to perform the retrofitting work of this device without significantly modifying the building.

Since the sunlight collecting device of the present invention is constructed as described above, it has the following excellent effects. (1) Since a flat plate prism is used as a main constituent element of the daylighting section, the daylighting machine can be made lightweight and compact, and the entire apparatus can be installed over the eaves of the building and the wall of the room that guides light. it can. Therefore, the retrofitting work of the device can be easily performed without making a large modification to the existing building. (2) Since the daylighting section of the solar lighting device is installed on the eaves instead of on the roof as in the conventional case, there is no fear of rain leakage in the room. (3) Since the sunlight is tracked using the flat prism, the accuracy of tracking control does not require higher altitude than that of tracking using a lens or a mirror, so that the daylight collector can be manufactured at low cost. (4) If the roof slope and the roof slope are integrated as in the second and third embodiments, the appearance of the building can be felt naturally. (5) If the optical duct and the reflecting mirror are omitted as in the third embodiment, the sunlight collecting device can be manufactured at low cost.
