A feature of many organic and inorganic chemical processes is the formation of acidic products as the major or by-product. Well-known examples of such processes are halogenation of aromatic compounds, for example chlorination of benzene, regeneration of acids, recovery of hydrochloric acid or sulfur dioxide, for example by decomposition of metal chlorides or sulphates. . Currently, to recover such acidic gaseous compounds, the tail gas is treated to reduce the acid content to environmentally acceptable levels after passing through a condenser and optionally without condensation. Various methods have been used to achieve the above objectives, including absorption by sparger towers, stirred reactors, packed towers (scrubbers), spray towers. A feature of many of these processes is that the acidic components are neutralized with an alkali, typically sodium or potassium hydroxide or an amine, and the alkali subsequently regenerated. In a packed column in which acid absorption and neutralization are performed simultaneously, high reaction heat can be generated, which causes difficulty. This heat may deform the plastic material used as a packing material or in the construction of packed towers. In addition, controlling the reaction becomes difficult, especially when the composition of the feed changes. The object of the present invention is to provide an improved process for treating gaseous acidic substances which does not exhibit the abovementioned disadvantages. According to the invention there is provided a method for treating a gaseous acidic substance, said substance being fed to a packed column or a scrubber, wherein said gaseous acidic substance is sufficiently contacted with the fed dilute aqueous extraction medium solution. The column is in a recirculation loop of the extraction medium solution, in which the extraction medium solution is supplied to the column and taken out of the column, and the acid concentration in the solution in the loop is a dilute aqueous solution. A method is provided which is maintained within a range of acid concentration by adding to the loop and withdrawing the acid-enriched aqueous solution from the loop. In a preferred form of the process according to the invention, said column has an outlet for the remaining gaseous substances not extracted in said column, the residual gaseous substances being fed to a second packed column or scrubber. , The second extraction column solution is recirculated in the second packed column, and the extraction medium solution is brought into contact with the second column in the second packed column. The acid concentration in the solution supplied and taken out from the second column is adjusted by adding a dilute aqueous solution to the second loop and adding the aqueous solution containing the acidic substance introduced into the column to the second loop. Is maintained within the second acid concentration range by drawing from. In this way, it is possible to use the first column to buffer the variations in the concentration of the incoming air stream and to supply the second column with an air stream whose acid gas content is essentially constant. The dilute aqueous solution introduced into each recycle loop can be water or a solution containing less than 0.5% by weight of inorganic and / or organic additives such as heptyl alcohol. The packed column or scrubber may be of known construction. The filler can be any known high surface area, insoluble solid material. Commercially available synthetic or natural materials such as gravel and pebbles may be used. Each recirculation loop may include a reservoir for recirculation solution. The storage tank can be a tank located below the tower. The solution can be removed from the tower into a tank by any suitable discharge means. With each loop, fresh dilute aqueous solution can be added to the reservoir of that loop, eg, at or near the top of the tank. The aqueous solution containing the acidic substance can be taken out from each loop after the storage tank. Introducing a fresh aqueous solution into the recirculation loop and adjusting the rate at which the acidic aqueous solution is withdrawn from the loop ensures that the acid concentration of the solution in each of said reservoirs is maintained (or nearly constant) within a given concentration range. It is desirable to control. This addition and extraction can be independently controlled by a suitable known fluid control device, such as a valve, optionally in combination with a flow meter associated therewith. For example, the acid concentration of the extraction medium solution in the storage tank of the first extraction medium solution recirculation loop is maintained at 2 to 20% by weight, for example, 5 to 12% by weight, and the acid concentration of the extraction medium solution in the storage tank of the second extraction medium solution recirculation loop is maintained. The acid concentration of the extraction medium solution can be maintained at 0 to 2% by weight, for example 0 to 0.5% by weight. A pump may be used in each of the recirculation loops to supply the extraction medium solution from the reservoir in the loop to the columns in the loop, eg, at or near the top of the column. The gaseous substance to be fed can be introduced into each column at or near its lower end, and the feed rises in the packing of the column and descends, i.e., flows through, the packing of the column. Can be contacted with. Recirculation of the extraction medium solution within each recirculation loop can be carried out continuously. After the process started and the desired acid concentration was reached in each loop (which can be detected by providing a suitable pH detector in the reservoir), the extraction medium solution was continuously added to the loop and Once removed, the concentration can be maintained within the required range, preferably at a near constant level. The process according to the invention is advantageous when the acidic gaseous substance to be extracted is a by-product associated with one or several non-acidic gases which are treated or recovered separately. For example, the gaseous acidic substance supplied to the first column may include the one or several non-acidic gases described above. The non-acidic gas may be hydrogen, for example, and the gaseous acidic by-product may be hydrogen fluoride. These gases can optionally be carried over a stream of an inert carrier gas such as nitrogen. Advantageously and unexpectedly, the present invention has the following advantages over the prior art: (A) Almost no reaction heat is generated, which may cause deterioration of the structure of the packed column or the materials used for packing. (B) The heat of dilution can be controlled by adjusting the volume of the storage tank in each recirculation loop and the removal / filling rate of the extraction medium solution. (C) Since the acid concentration of the extraction medium solution is known, a packed column having appropriate dimensions and contact characteristics can be accurately designed. (D) Even if the acid concentration of the supplied air flow changes, the extraction performance is not affected because the acid concentration of the extraction medium solution is maintained within the given range. (E) The acid concentration of the extractant solution stream withdrawn from the recirculation loop is known (or can be controlled and measured within a given range) so that subsequent treatment of the desulfurization stream, such as blending and storage or medium. The sum becomes easy. Embodiments of the present invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is a schematic block diagram of an apparatus for removing acidic gaseous substances from an air stream according to an embodiment of the present invention. The apparatus shown in FIG. 1 is used, for example, to remove HF from a stream containing HF and hydrogen in a nitrogen carrier gas. As shown in FIG. 1, the gas feed to the apparatus is sent to the lower end 3 a of the first packed column 3 via the pipeline 1. The extraction medium solution is sent from the bottom tank 7 by the pump 5 through the pipeline 4 to the upper end 3b of the tower 3. The gas from the pipeline 1 rises in the packed column 3 and comes into contact with the extraction medium solution flowing downward in the column 3. As a result, the acidic component in the air stream is dissolved in the extraction medium solution. The extraction medium solution is collected at the lower end 3a of the tower 3 and discharged to the bottom tank 7 via the pipeline 6. The tank 7 acts as a storage tank for the solution. Tank 7 is in a recirculation loop consisting of tower 3, pipeline 6, tank 7 and pipeline 4. A fresh extractant solution, for example clean water, is introduced from the pipeline 9 into the tank 7 at its upper end. The pipeline 9 includes a control valve 11. The extraction medium solution collected in the bottom tank 7 and transported by the pump 5 can be discharged from the pipeline 4 to the pipeline 13. The pipeline 13 includes a control valve 15. The liquid level of the extraction medium solution collected in the bottom tank 7 is monitored by an appropriate liquid level monitor 17, and the pH of the solution in the tank 7 is monitored by the pH monitor 19. When using the device shown in FIG. 1, the acid concentration of the solution in the bottom tank 7 is accumulated to a concentration of 5-12% by weight. When this concentration is reached, the speed at which the tank 7 is filled and the speed at which the solution is discharged from the pipeline 13 are set by adjusting the valves 11 and 15, thereby fixing the liquid level and concentration of the extraction medium solution in the tank 7. . The gas leaving the column 3 usually contains the remaining low concentration of acid gas, which is removed by another packed column 21 which functions similarly to the packed column 3. The exhaust gas is sent from the upper end 3b of the tower 3 to the lower end 21a of another tower 21 by the pipeline 20. The extraction medium solution is sent from the bottom tank 27 by the pump 25 to the upper end 21b of the tower 21 by the pipeline 24. The gas coming from the pipeline 20 rises in the packed column 21 and comes into contact with the discharge liquid flowing downward in the column 21. As a result, the acidic components in the air stream are dissolved in the extraction medium solution. The extractant solution is collected at the lower end 21a of the tower 21 and discharged to the bottom tank 27 via the pipeline 26. The tank 27 acts as a storage tank for the solution. Tank 27 is in a recirculation loop consisting of tower 21, pipeline 26, tank 27 and pipeline 24. A fresh extractant solution, for example clean water, is introduced from the pipeline 29 into the tank 27 at its upper end. The pipeline 29 includes a control valve 31. The extraction medium solution collected in the bottom tank 27 and fed by the pump 25 can be discharged from the pipeline 24 through the pipeline 33. The pipeline 33 includes a control valve 35. The liquid level of the extraction medium solution collected in the bottom tank 27 is monitored by an appropriate liquid level monitor 37, and the pH of the solution in the tank 27 is monitored by a pH monitor 39. When the apparatus shown in FIG. 1 is used, the acid concentration of the solution in the bottom tank 27 is 0 to 0. Accumulate to a maximum level of 5% by weight. Then, the valves 31 and 35 are adjusted to set the level of the extraction medium solution in the bottom tank 27 and maintain the acid concentration at a desired level. The clean non-acidic gas is extracted from the upper end of the tower 21 via the outlet pipeline 41. The pipeline 41 includes a pump 43. The extract withdrawn via pipelines 13 and 33 can be sent to a storage tank and then neutralized as usual with an alkaline solution.
