Furthermore, the present invention relates to an optical receiver including a noise matching network. Background Art Optical receivers usually employ either a PIN photodiode or an avalanche photodiode (APD) as the photodiode connected to the preamplifier. Preamplifiers will typically employ gallium arsenide (GaAs) MESFETs or HEMTs. For past references, see BL Kasper, JC Campbell, JR. Ta1man, AH. Gnauck, JE. Bowers and WS. Ho1den "An APD / FET optical receiver operation at 8 Gbits / s," J. See Lightwave Technol.vol LT-5, no.3, pp.344-347, March 1987. The photodiode of this document is directly coupled to the preamplifier in order to reduce ground stray capacitance and improve the bandwidth of the preamplifier. As a recent document, G. Jacobsen, JX. Kan and IG. Garrett, “Tuned fr ont-enddesign for heterodyne optical receivers,” J. Lightwave Technol. v ol LT-7, no.l, pp.105-114, Jan. There is 1989, so please refer to it. Clearly, tuning between the photodiode and the preamplifier can improve performance against thermal noise. It has been proposed to use series and parallel tuned inductors and transformers. In addition, J. L. Gim1ett, “A new low noise 16GHz PIN / HEMT optical receiver,” Fourteen th European Conference on Optical Communication (ecoc.'88), Post Deadline Papers, pp.13-16, Sept. 1988. Proposes an inductive / resistive T-network, which has inductive components in series arms and inductive and resistive components in parallel arms. A previous document by the inventor, namely MS. Park, RA. Minasian “High-Speeped Optoe1ectric Integrated Receiver Design for Fiber-Optic Communications” JIREE is a third-order T-shaped network with inductive component in series arm and capacitive component in parallel arm. It has been proposed to use a third order T network. DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The present invention is an improvement over what the present inventor has previously proposed, and is based on what has been realized by the present inventor, which improves performance against noise by using resistors and inductors. . The present invention extends what was proposed to identify several classes of noise matching networks. According to the present invention, there is provided a noise matching network of an optical receiver, and the present invention comprises a T-shaped network having an inductive element in a series arm and a capacitive element in a shunt arm, and A resistive element is also provided on at least one of the arms. The resistance value of the series arm reduces the Q factor of the network and also reduces the performance against noise due to thermal noise from the resistor. However, the wideband frequency response can be improved with a slight decrease in noise performance. The low pass filter type matching network can utilize inductive and resistive elements connected in series in at least one arm of the series arm and the capacitive element in at least one arm of the parallel arm. Can be used. The primary filter includes an inductive element and a resistive element connected in series in a series arm. The second-order filter has an inductive element and a resistive element connected in series in a series arm and a capacitive element in a parallel arm. The resistive element can be included in a parallel arm in series with the capacitive element so that the inductive element can either be added to the resistive element or replaced with the resistive element. The third order filter comprises two series arms and a single parallel arm, all said arms being connected to a common node. The third-order filter may include an inductive element connected in series with the resistive element in at least one series arm of the series arms and a capacitor in the parallel arms. The resistive element can be included in the parallel arm with the capacitor so that the inductive element can either be added to the resistive element or replaced with the resistive element. The bandpass filter type noise matching network includes a capacitive element and a resistive element connected in series in at least one arm of the series arms, and optionally the capacitive element in at least one arm of the series arms. Array in series. At least one of the parallel arms is a parallel combination of capacitive elements, or a capacitive element in series with a resistive element and a capacitive element, or an inductive element in series with a resistive element. And a sex element. The additional parallel arm may comprise a capacitive element, an inductive element connected in series with a resistive element, or a parallel connection of both. The high order filter comprises two or more parallel arms and two or more series arms. In order to connect the inductive element and the resistive element in series, when the loss inductor is selected, it can be realized by adopting the internal resistance of the inductive element. The elements of the network can be realized either by hybrid integration techniques or optoelectronic integration techniques. For example, the inductive element can be implemented using thin bond wires or high impedance microstrip lines. According to another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an optical receiver including a photodetector coupled to a preamplification stage via a noise matching circuit embodied in the first embodiment of the present invention. . The optical receiver embodying the present invention has high noise performance, and the low-pass filter and the band-pass filter have a flat frequency response over a wide band of several GHz and have good optical sensitivity. The noise matching network can bring the impedance of the photodetector and the preamplifier to the required impedance and minimize noise. The present invention can be applied to a highly functional optical communication system that employs either direct detection or heterodyne detection for an optical signal with a frequency of several GFz. According to the present invention, an optical receiving device can convert an optical signal into an electric signal with ultra-low noise. Since the sensitivity of the optical receiver is improved, the transmission distance is extended or the power budget of the optical network is increased. FIG. 14 shows another example of a fifth-order bandpass filter type matching network embodying the present invention. FIG. 15 is a circuit diagram of an optical receiving device embodying an embodiment of the present invention. BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION The noise matching network is shown in each figure by the reference numeral 100, and in each figure the noise matching network is shown as a two-port network having an input port 1 and an output port 2. FIG. 1 will be described. The first-order low-pass filter type noise matching network shown in FIG. 1 comprises a single series arm 3, which has a lossy inductor represented as an inductive element 4 and a resistive element 5. FIG. 2a will be described. The tertiary network comprises two series arms 3 and 6 which have loss inductors. The parallel arm 7 has a capacitive element 8 and a resistive element 9 connected in series. One or more resistive elements can be removed. For example, in FIG. 2b, the resistive element of the second series arm 6 has been removed. In the first series arm 3 shown in Fig. 2c, the resistive element is removed. In the parallel arm 7 shown in FIG. 2d, the resistive element is removed. In the second series arm 6 and the parallel arm 7 in FIG. 2e, the resistive element is removed. In the first series arm and the parallel arm 7 shown in FIG. 2f, the resistive element is removed. In another example of the tertiary network shown in FIG. 3a, the same element is used for the series arms 3 and 6, but the parallel arm comprises a capacitive element 8 and an inductive element 10 connected in series. One or more resistive elements can be removed. For example, the resistive element of the second series arm 6 can be removed as shown in Figure 3b, or the resistive element of the first series arm 3 can be removed as shown in Figure 3c. Alternatively, an additional resistive element 9 can be included in parallel arm 7 in series with capacitor 8 and inductor 10, as shown in FIG. 3d. In this case, the resistive element 5 is included in both series arms as shown in FIG. 3e, or the first series arm 3 or the second series arm 3 as shown in FIGS. 3f and 3g, respectively. Only 6 can be included. In the quintic network shown in FIG. 4, three similar loss inductors are present in series arms 3, 6, and 11, respectively, and two parallel arms 7 and 12 are respectively at the nodes of adjacent series arms. It has a connected capacitor 8. FIG. 5 will be described. Another example of a quaternary network has three identical series arms 3, 6, and 11, but parallel arms 7 and 12 comprise a resistive element 9 and a capacitive element 8 connected in series. FIG. 6 will be described. The seventh network employs four lossy inductors in series arms 3, 6, 11, and 13. The three parallel arms are provided with capacitors 8 respectively connected to the nodes of adjacent series arms. FIG. 7 will be described. Another example of a seventh order network employs the same series arms 3, 6, 11 and 13 but parallel arms 12 and 14 comprise a resistive element 9 and a capacitive element 8 connected in series. . Referring to FIG. 8a. The third-order bandpass filter type matching circuit comprises two series arms 3 and 6, and the two series arms 3 and 6 respectively have a loss represented by an inductive element 4 and a resistive element 5 connected in series. It has an inductor. To the parallel arm 7, a loss capacitor represented by a capacitive element 8 and a resistive element 9 connected in series and a loss inductor represented by an inductive element 15 and a resistive intelligence element 16 are connected in parallel. The resistive element 5 of either the second series arm 6 or the first series arm 3 can be eliminated as shown in Figures 8b and 8c, respectively. Alternatively, the resistive element 9 connected in series with the capacitor 8 of one limb of the parallel arm 7 can be eliminated as shown in Figure 8d. Furthermore, the resistive element of either the second series arm 6 or the first series arm 3 can be eliminated, respectively, as shown in Figures 8e and 8f. The quaternary circuit network shown in FIG. 9 will be described. The quaternary network shown in FIG. 9 has two loss-inducing elements of series arms 3 and 6 and two parallel arms 7 and 17. The first parallel arm 7 comprises a capacitive element 8 connected in parallel with a loss inductor represented by an inductive element 15 and a resistive element 16. The second parallel arm has only a loss inductor represented by inductive element 15 and resistive element 16. FIG. 10 will be explained. A second example of the quaternary circuit network shown in FIG. 10 will be described. This quaternary network has the same series arms 3 and 6, but the first parallel arm 7 has a loss capacitor and a loss inductor connected in parallel, the loss capacitor comprising a capacitive element 8 and a resistive element 9. , The loss inductor is represented by an inductive element 15 and a resistive element 16, and the second parallel arm 17 is identical to the parallel arm described above. A third example of a quaternary network is the same as the network shown in FIG. 9, as shown in FIG. However, the second series arm 6 includes a capacitor 18 connected in series with the loss inductor. The embodiment of FIG. 12 is similar to the embodiment shown in FIG. 10, and further describes FIG. 13 including a capacitor 18 in the second series arm 6. The illustrated quintic network has three series arms 3, 6, and 11 and two parallel arms 7 and 17. The three series arms 3, 6, and 11 have a loss inductor and the two parallel arms 7 and 17 comprise a capacitor 8 connected in parallel with the loss inductor represented by the inductive element 15 and the resistive element 16. ing. To the second series arm 6, a capacitor 18 is additionally connected in series with the loss inductor. In another example of the quintic network shown in FIG. 14, the same loss inductive element and the same capacitor 18 are used in the series arms 3, 6, and 11. However, the parallel arms 7 and 17 are provided with a loss capacitor represented by the capacitive element 8 and the resistive element 9 and connected in parallel to the loss inductor. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 7, the topology of the low-pass filter is performed over a frequency range of almost direct current to microwave and several GHz. As shown in FIGS. 8 to 14, the bandpass filter topology operates at a microwave frequency over a wide pass band. FIG. 15 will be explained. FIG. 15 shows the configuration of an optical receiving device that employs a noise matching network. The optical receiver 101 comprises four stages: a detector 102, a noise matching network 100, a preamplifier 103, and a load 104. The detector comprises a photodiode 105 and has an impedance Z ph (ω). The impedance Z ph (ω) has a junction capacitance C d and a series resistance R s . The noise matching network is any network that does not depart from the scope of the first embodiment of the present invention, and is typically equipped with one of the networks shown in FIGS. The output impedance of the matching network is Z s (ω), which includes the effect of photodiode impedance. A general noise analysis method based on the concept of noise figure can establish a general noise matching network for the minimum equivalent input noise current. It directly utilizes the available noise parameters, eg the minimum noise figure F min (ω), the noise resistance R n (ω) and the proper source admittance Y opt (ω). These noise parameters are those specified in the preamplifier transistor data sheet. Preamplifier 103 comprises HEMT or MESFET transistors 106 and 107, resistors 108, 109 and 110, and capacitor 111. The resistor 110 and the capacitor 111 form a conventional RC differentiator on the output side. This RC differentiator equalizes the low frequency response of the high impedance preamplifier. The total equivalent input noise current density between the junction capacitances of the photodiode is expressed as follows. Where G s (ω) is the conductance of the matching network impedance A s (ω), F (ω) is the noise index, and D (ω) and B (ω) are the two-port transfer to the matching network N. It is a parameter. The network requirements are defined as follows. That is, the matching network output admittance is defined to approach Y opt (ω) and maximize the transducer power gain. From these requirements, a noise matching network can be defined for any order. Although the present invention has been described with reference to particular examples of matching networks, it should be understood that it is not limited to these particular networks.
