考えるべきである。Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a slag defoaming composite material, preferably in briquette or pellet form, for use in steel production and the like. However, the present invention is not limited to steel making but is suitable for many applications where degassing of slag or reduction of oxides to the metallic state is required. In the process of steel production, iron produced in a blast furnace is charged into a basic oxygen furnace and converted into steel. The amount of iron varies. It is typically about 200 tons. Oxygen lance blows oxygen into iron to remove impurities such as carbon, silicon and manganese, and turns iron into steel. During this smelting, the slag over the steel foams to varying degrees depending on the type of steel being produced. This slag foaming phenomenon is not preferable because it prolongs the steelmaking time and requires extra energy and labor. Carbon and aluminum exothermically react with the slag to raise the temperature of the slag and reduce its viscosity, so that gases such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide can be released from this liquid with increased fluidity, and therefore the foaming reaction It is known to reduce or stop the noise. Conventionally, materials such as wound newspaper, timber, oil or tar derivative, recycled paper pulp, aluminum powder and pure metal aluminum have been added to the slag in order to reduce foaming. The above known defoaming materials have many drawbacks. First, depending on the material, the density is low and it cannot penetrate into the slag, so a sufficient defoaming reaction cannot be obtained. Second, when using these defoaming additives, these materials are stored in the hopper above the blast furnace, which is hot and has sparks and lime dust. Under such conditions, many known defoaming additives are self-igniting. This is because it contains carbonaceous matter, or because lime dust accumulates on the material and contains moist air, and reacts exothermically with the material. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide an efficient and fast-acting defoamer that overcomes the above mentioned drawbacks. In one generalized form, the present invention comprises a carbon source, a source of exothermic material such as aluminum, a dense intercalated particulate material such as calcium alumina silicate, and optionally a binder. Provided is a slag defoaming composite material selected to have sufficient density to penetrate into the slag layer being treated. Most preferably, the composite material is manufactured in the form of briquettes, pellets, or the like. In a preferred embodiment, the slag defoaming composite material is substantially nonflammable. Perhaps most desirably, the density of the composite is selected to be in the range 1.0-2.6 g / cc. In one preferred form of the invention, the slag defoaming composite has a carbon source such that the final composite has a carbon content of 3 to 50 wt% and the final composite has an aluminum content of 5 to 60 wt%. % Aluminum source, calcium aluminosilicate or similar high density inert particulate material in the range 10-50 wt%, and binder in the range 0-20 wt%. Most preferably, the binder is sodium silicate (sodium silicate) or a similar silicate derivative, which can be organic or inorganic, viscosity or lime or the like. Desirably, the composite material further comprises a lubricating material. Most preferably, the lubricating material is a stearate salt such as calcium stearate. Desirably, the lubricating material is present in the range 0-2 wt%. Desirably, the composite material further comprises a slag superplasticizer. Most preferably, the slag superplasticizer is present in the range 0-30 wt%. In another form, the composite material further comprises a cellulosic feedstock, and a flame retardant. Desirably, the cellulosic material is present in the range of 3-30 wt%. Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiments The slag defoaming composite material of the present invention, and the process for making it into briquettes, is illustrated by the following examples, which describe preferred, but non-limiting embodiments of the present invention. In one form, the components include finely divided remelted calcium aluminosilicate, finely divided alumina / aluminum, silica / carbon fines mixture, sodium silicate binder, and calcium stearate. After mixing these components, pressure is applied to ideally form a briquette. Regarding the details of the constituent components, a composition range suitable for a slag defoaming composite material is shown in Example 1, and a typical specific composition example is shown in Example 2. Example 1 Exemplary composition range wt% Calcium aluminosilicate 10-50% Alumina / aluminum mixture 10-50% (5-60% Al) Silica / carbon mixture 10-50% (3-15% C) Sodium silicate 0 -20% Calcium stearate lubricant 0-2% Example 2 composition (typical briquette ratio) wt% Calcium aluminosilicate 22.7 (Adjust density) Alumina / aluminum mixture 45 (14% Al) Fine silica / carbon Mixture 22.7 (6.8% carbon) (15.9% SiO 2 ) Sodium silicate 9.5% Calcium stearate lubricant 0.2kg / 150kg mix 0.133% Calcium aluminosilicate or similar material made into briquette Play a very important role in. It is a non-absorbent / inert material that coarsens the mixture and controls the particle size distribution which allows briquetting of the mixture. Bonding materials are important for bonding various components. Sodium silicate or other similar silicates can be used, or materials such as cohesive viscosities and limes can be used. However, it may not be necessary to add a binder depending on the other components of the composite material. In other words, other constituent components of the composite material may have a binding action between the constituent components to the extent that no special binding material is required. Various methods can be used to produce the appropriate briquettes, one example of which is described below. Components such as calcium aluminosilicate, alumina / aluminum and carbon silica mixtures are first weighed and then added into the mixing mill. These are dry mixed, typically for 3-5 minutes. While stirring the mill, sodium silicate, which acts as a binder, is finely sprayed into the above mixture and stirring is continued for a further 6-8 minutes. In the last minute of the mixing process, calcium stearate is added and mixed in. The relatively dry mixture obtained by mixing for such a long time has good flowability required for the manufacturing process. It is important that the mixture flow well during the mixing process of the mixture, otherwise briquette size and density are difficult to control. It is also necessary that there be no lumps in the mixture. Optionally, a slag fluidizer, a cellulosic feedstock, and a flame retardant can be included. In one optional embodiment of the present invention, the composite material comprises carbon in the range of 3 to 50 wt%, slag superplasticizer in the range of 0 to 30 wt%, and cellulosic feedstock such as wood chips in the range of 3 to 30%. Can be included. When the composite material contains cellulose, a flame retardant is added to prevent spontaneous combustion in the hopper above the BOF (basic oxygen furnace). Next, the above mixture is molded into a briquette. One of the preferred methods of forming this briquette is to charge the low-moisture mixture into a hydraulic press and pressurize to a pressure greater than 20 tonnes per square inch to form a hard briquette having a compressive strength greater than 1000 kPa. Typical sizes of cylindrical briquettes are in the range of 65-75 mm in diameter and 35-50 mm in height. The typical density of the briquette of Example 2 will be in the vicinity of 2.4 g / cc, but if it is within the range of 1.0 to 2.6, there is no problem in practical use. Generally, the density can be adjusted by varying the amount of dense inert particulate material, such as calcium aluminosilicate, or by varying the content of cellulosic material or other factors in composition or processing conditions. Briquettes are manufactured in various densities according to needs. For example, for steels with very viscous slag, a high density briquette is needed. Also, the defoamed composite material can be varied in the shape and size of the briquettes or in pellets and other shapes. For example, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that the shape can be a cylindrical shape, a semi-cylindrical shape, a rectangular parallelepiped, a specific shape desired for transportation, or the like. The slag defoaming composite material described above has the advantage that its density can be selected so that it penetrates the slag surface or does not settle in the steel. Suspension in the slag layer effectively causes an exothermic reaction, which promotes gas release and slag viscosity reduction, and provides a desirable state for degassing. As mentioned above, this typical density range is near 1.0 to 2.6 g / cc. The reactivity of a composite material can be controlled by changing its composition. Further, since the constituent components used are very finely divided, the reactive element is well dispersed, which promotes a highly exothermic reaction and thins the slag. The briquette has a specified size, shape and hardness so that it does not break during handling and charging into the hopper above the basic oxygen furnace, and at the same time it falls into the furnace and enters the slag. There is no material loss or thermal reaction loss. Another important advantage of the slag defoaming composite material of the present invention is that it does not burn during storage in the hopper above the basic oxygen furnace, and it has the potential to get over powders that may enter the hopper containing the composite material. It does not react exothermically with lime. It should be well understood by those skilled in the art that various modifications and adjustments can be made to the specific embodiments described above with reference to the embodiments. All such modifications and adjustments are considered to be within the scope of the invention as described above and set forth in the following claims.
