Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment of the direction of the antenna of a satellite communication ground station at a small installation cost by generating an audible tone whose intermittent duty ratio changes depending on the intensity of a received signal from an electroacoustic transducer and adjusting the direction of the antenna while listening to the tone by the ears of the adjustment personnel. CONSTITUTION:Part of an IF signal of an output of a reception frequency conversion section 13 is branched by a coupler 21 and detected by a detection circuit 22 and converted into a DC voltage depending on a TOTAL level of a received band. Furthermore, an A/D converter 23 A/D-converts the voltage and a pulse generator 24 generates a pulse signal whose duty ratio is changed depending on the A/D-converted voltage. On the other hand, an output of a crystal oscillator 31 is frequency-divided by a frequency divider 25 and generated as an audible frequency signal. The pulse signal, the audible frequency signal and an ON/OFF switch signal from a switch means 26 is given to a gate circuit 27 and an output of the circuit 27 drives a PMOSFET switch 29 to turn on/off the power supply supplied to an electroacoustic transducer 30, from which an audible tone having a prescribed audible frequency intermitted depending on the reception level is generated.

2. Description of the Related Art A satellite communication device is usually installed in the immediate vicinity of an antenna and is composed of a frequency conversion circuit, an interface circuit between an outdoor device for signal amplification and a terminal, a communication control circuit, and an indoor device equipped with a modulator / demodulator. The received IF signal sent from the outdoor equipment to the indoor equipment is monitored with a spectrum analyzer and adjusted to maximize the received electric field. Also, when demodulating the received signal with the indoor equipment, the AGC voltage proportional to the received electric field strength. Was detected and sent back to the outdoor equipment, and a meter for direction adjustment was connected to adjust while watching the meter.

However, such a conventional method has a problem that the direction cannot be adjusted without a special measuring instrument such as a spectrum analyzer or a meter or a jig. Further, the method disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 59-104837 requires V / F conversion, which complicates the circuit, and the method disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 60-214649 allows the location of the antenna to be changed. There is a problem that it is not possible to adjust the direction while listening to the sound by itself because the place of producing the sound is distant, and the one disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 61-7149 is a transmitter / receiver exclusively for the direction adjustment. There is a problem that the transmitter and receiver to be actually used must be replaced later. Further, the methods disclosed in JP-A-59-104837 and JP-A-60-214649 have a problem that the sound is continuously produced even in actual use.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to easily adjust the direction of the antenna device to which the transceiver is attached by listening to the change due to the intermittent audible sound without using a special measuring instrument or jig. In addition, since it is possible to make no sound except when adjusting the direction, it is possible to reduce noise and power consumption.
Since the transmitting side can be cut off at the time of adjusting the direction, there is an effect that it is possible to prevent interference with other satellites by mistake.
