Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce an elegant wove fabric exhibiting three-dimensional pattern which is looked as if it was passed through bamboo blind and rich in touch feeling. CONSTITUTION: In ground phase (a), strongly twisted weft (4) is woven into ground warp yarn (1) and binding yarn (2), and veil weft (3) is pressed only by the blinding yarn 92) every proper numbers to form the veil weft (3) so as to be floated on the structure. The pattern part (b) is formed by bag weave using surface fabric (7) and back fabric (8) and, in the surface fabric (7), the veil weft (3) and the blinding yarn (2) are woven like the case of the ground phase (a) and, in the back fabric (8), strongly twisted weft (4) is pressed by the ground warp (1) every proper numbers and sparsely structured. The blinding yarn (2) of the surface fabric (7) is bound to the strongly twisted weft (4) of the back fabric (8) at the proper places (5). A foil yarn (6) is inserted into the space between both surface and back fabrics (7 and 8) without making a structure with warp (1 and 2). Then, when the strongly twisted weft (4) is contracted by passing it through boiled water, in the ground phase (a), the strongly twisted weft (4) is not protruded and, in the pattern part (b), the strongly twisted weft (4) brings about the protrusion of both the foil yarn (6) and the surface fabric (7). Thereby, the flat ground phase (a) part is clearly separated from the protruded pattern part (b) to form a three-dimensional protruded pattern having a variability.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a drawn foil woven fabric having a three-dimensional appearance and an elegant appearance rich in texture.

2. Description of the Related Art A conventional drawn foil woven fabric is one in which foil yarn is woven flatly into a woven fabric.

However, in such a drawn foil woven fabric, although a beautiful pattern is certainly formed by various visual stimuli of light reflected by the foil yarn, there is a tendency to lack a three-dimensional effect. Moreover, since the brilliance of the foil thread directly appeals to the eyes, it is not possible to express a subtle nuance.

The present invention provides an elegant woven fabric which is three-dimensional and rich in texture.

As shown in FIG. 1, the woven fabric according to the present invention comprises a ground phase a and a pattern portion b. In the phase a, the strongly twisted weft (4) is the ground warp (1) and the kaki yarn.
