られ、かつ装置本体ケース内に電子写真プロセスユニッ
トを位置規制する位置規制部材が設けられた画像形成装
置において、 前記駆動回転体と従動回転体とを、互いに軸心を一致さ
せた状態で係合可能に形成し、 前記装置本体ケース内に、前記上部開口部を通して挿入
された前記電子写真プロセスユニットを前記駆動回転体
に向けて横方向に移動案内可能なガイド面を設け、 前記電子写真プロセスユニットの長手方向一端部寄りの
底部に係合部を設け、 前記位置規制部材を、係合部に対して突出・後退可能か
つ前記電子写真プロセスユニットがガイド面上を横移動
されて前記従動回転体と前記駆動回転体とが軸心と一致
させた状態で係合した場合に突出して係合部と係止可能
に形成し、 前記電子写真プロセスユニットの長手方向他端部が持ち
上げられたことに連動して位置規制部材を後退させて係
合部の係止を強制解除する係止解除手段を設けたことを
特徴とする画像形成装置。
