Abstract

PURPOSE: To reliably prevent impact caused by mounting-demounting of a mating connector from being inputted to a wiring base board. CONSTITUTION: A connector is provided with pin-shaped terminals 11 and 12 whose base ends are fixed and connected to a wiring base board 4, a housing 13 to be installed on these by receiving the tips of the terminals 11 and 12 and a joining member 2 which engages with an inner wall surface of an opening 131 by being inserted into the housing 13 from an opening 131 arranged on an upper surface of the housing 13 and also simultaneously engages with the terminals 11 and 12 and joins both together by positioning the housing 13 to the terminals 11 and 12. The housing 13 is integrally formed on a cover panel 5 to be put and installed on an opening port of a casing to house the wiring base board 4.

In the above structure, as described above, the housing 13 is fixed to the wiring board 4 by screws so that the housing 13 can be positioned with respect to the impact when the mating connector is attached and detached. However, according to this, since the impact load is directly input to the wiring substrate 4, there is a possibility that the substrate 4 may be deformed or solder may be damaged by fatigue. Further, since it is a general-purpose connector, its size is restricted, and the front panel 5'needs to be separately provided, which increases the cost.

Therefore, for example, as shown in FIG. 10, the housing 13 of the connector 1'is attached to the front panel 5 of the housing 3.
In some cases, the load input to the wiring board 4 is reduced by integrally molding the same with the front panel 5'and the housing 3 to receive the impact caused by the detachment of the connector. However, according to this structure, although the load on the wiring board 4 can be reduced, the front panel 5'is immersed in the solder bath.
Since the front panel 5'becomes in contact with the solder liquid at the lower end edge of the front panel, it is necessary to use a heat-resistant resin material such as NY66 / G30 that can sufficiently withstand the heat during immersion, which inevitably leads to an increase in cost. The price of plastic resin material is about three times higher than that of ordinary resin material such as PP). Although it is possible to attach the connector separately afterwards by hand soldering, this increases the number of steps.

The front surface of the lower half portion 21 of the connecting member 2 is located in contact with the rear surface of the lower terminal 12, and the lower half portion 2 is
1 and the partition wall 14 are brought into contact with the terminal 12 from the front and back to position the housing 13, and the two are joined. The cover panel 5 integrated with the housing 13 has upper and lower ends in FIG. 2 fixedly attached to upper and lower opening edges of the housing 3. The locking projections 23 provided at the left and right positions on the rear surface of the coupling member 2
As shown in FIG. 2, when the coupling member 2 is inserted into the opening 131 (FIG. 7), the coupling member 2 is prevented from coming off by engaging with the lower peripheral edge of the opening 131.
