In the rotary heat exchanger of the present invention, notches are made at least at two positions, namely, the ridge line portion of the corrugation formed by corrugating the sheet-like material and the portion where the liner as the sheet-like material overlaps. The part where is put is projected to the middle shin side with the shin and the liner overlapped, and the shin and the liner are directly caulked at this part, and no adhesive is used to join the shin and the liner. Since it is not used, it is possible to eliminate the cost increase and the reduction in manufacturing efficiency associated with the use of the adhesive agent, and to omit the heating equipment for promoting the curing of the adhesive agent. Moreover, in the rotary heat exchanger of the present invention, both ends in the length direction of the honeycomb cylindrical body formed by winding the laminated body of the caulked and bonded shin and the liner are fixed by the adhesive agent to maintain the shape. In addition, since the mechanical strength of the honeycomb cylindrical body can be sufficiently secured only by applying the adhesive to the holes only at the opening portions at both ends in the length direction of the honeycomb cylindrical body, the honeycomb cylindrical body is kept in shape. It requires less amount of adhesive. Therefore, according to the rotary heat exchanger of the present invention, the manufacturing cost can be reduced, and the manufacturing can be efficiently performed with simple equipment.

According to the invention described in claim 1 of the present invention described above, at least a portion where the ridge line portion of the central shin, which is formed by corrugating the sheet-like material, and the liner which is the sheet-like material overlap each other. Make a notch in two places, and make the notched part project toward the middle shin side with the middle shin and liner overlapped, and at this part the middle shin and the liner are directly caulked together, and the middle shin and the liner are connected. Since no adhesive is used to bond the adhesive, it is possible to eliminate the increase in cost and the decrease in manufacturing efficiency associated with the use of adhesive, and to install heating equipment to accelerate the curing of the adhesive. It can be omitted, and both ends of the honeycomb cylindrical body formed by winding up the laminated body of the caulked and bonded broth and the liner are fixed by a fixing agent to keep the shape,
Further, since the mechanical strength of the honeycomb cylindrical body can be sufficiently secured only by applying the adhesive to the openings which are both end portions in the length direction of the honeycomb cylindrical body, it is possible to maintain the shape of the honeycomb cylindrical body. The amount of the adhesive used is small, the production cost can be reduced, and the production can be efficiently performed with simple equipment.
