のトナー搬送路において、側方ガイド部材が設けられて
いない側から前記側方ガイド部材が設けられている側に
搬送する。このため、現像ロールに供給され劣化しかけ
たトナーは、トナーを大量に消費する側方ガイド部材側
に供給され、現像に用いられるため、帯電量の低いトナ
ーがトナー搬送路の下流側に偏ることなく、安定した濃
度の画像が得られる。また劣化が進行するまでに消費さ
れる機会が増え、劣化の進んだトナーが蓄積し、偏って

る現像装置であって、 前記像担持体と対向して配置され、一成分現像剤を表面
に担持して搬送する現像ロールと、 この現像ロールに沿って並設され、この現像ロールの軸
線方向の両端部で連通する二つのトナー搬送路と、 前記二つのトナー搬送路のうちの前記現像ロールと隣接
する側のトナー搬送路内に設けられ、トナーを前記側方
ガイド部材が設けられていない側から前記側方ガイド部
材が設けられている側に搬送する第1の攪拌搬送部材
と、 前記二つのトナー搬送路のうちの他方のトナー搬送路内
に設けられ、前記第1の攪拌搬送部材と反対方向にトナ
ーを搬送する第2の攪拌搬送部材と、 前記第2の攪拌搬送部材が設けられたトナー搬送路内又
は第1の攪拌搬送部材が設けられたトナー搬送路の上流
側にトナーを供給するトナー供給部とを有することを特
徴とする現像装置。1.
