Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a decorating method of a FRP molded article, to which highly clear patterning can be realized by simple work. CONSTITUTION: On a mold 1, a transparent gelcoat layer 2 is formed. Then, under the uncured state of the gelcoat layer 2, transfer paper 3 is placed on the top face of the layer 2. After the curing of the layer, the releasing paper of the transfer paper 3 is removed so as to apply and form a colored resin layer 4 on the gelcoat layer 2. After the semicuring of the layer 4, a FRP layer 5 is further formed on the top face of the layer 4.

In such a conventional decorating method, the printing paper 53 uses a polyester non-woven fabric, but the transparent gel coat resin 52 has a high viscosity and the impregnation property with respect to the printing paper 53 is extremely poor, and therefore the roller 54 is strong. Since bubbles remain if not pressed, there is a problem that the defoaming step in FIG. 8 requires a long time and the workability in the step of impregnating the printing paper 53 with the transparent gel coat resin 52 is extremely poor. Further, the printing paper 53 is required to have a high impregnating property, and therefore, it is necessary to suppress the fiber density of the printing paper 53 to a low level. In the printing process, it is customary to apply tension to the printing paper for printing. In the case of color printing, printing is performed for each color, and tension is applied each time printing is performed, so there is a problem that paper with a low fiber density gradually expands and the printed pattern becomes unclear. .

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been devised in view of the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and it eliminates the need for a troublesome defoaming work, and is capable of forming a pattern with high definition. The purpose of the present invention is not to provide a method for decorating an object, and the gist thereof is to form a transparent gel coat layer on a mold subjected to a mold release treatment, and place a transfer paper on the gel coat layer in the uncured state of the gel coat layer. The air between the gel coat layer and the transfer paper is removed, and after the gel coat layer is cured, the release paper of the transfer paper is peeled off to transfer the printing ink layer of the transfer paper to the gel coat layer, and the colored resin layer on the gel coat layer. Is formed by coating, and the FRP layer is formed on the colored resin layer after semi-curing of the colored resin layer.

[Function] A transparent pattern can be applied to the transparent gel coat layer by using a transfer paper. Since it is not impregnated with gel coat resin as in the past, defoaming work is unnecessary and the work is easy. It is possible to obtain a well decorated FRP molded product in a shorter time.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a step of coating and forming a transparent gel coat layer 2 on a resin mold 1, and a mold release agent has been applied on the resin mold 1 in advance for mold release treatment. The transparent gel coat resin is applied by spraying or the like to form the gel coat layer 2. After forming the gel coat layer 2, the transfer paper 3 is placed on the gel coat layer 2 in the uncured state as shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 3, the transfer paper 3 has a printing ink layer 3a having a pattern formed by a printing ink formed on the lower surface, and a release paper 3c is laminated on the transfer ink layer 3a via a release layer 3b such as polypropylene. The release paper 3c is made of pulp or a releasable film. If a release film is used, the release layer 3b may be omitted.

The transfer paper 3 is placed on the gel coat layer 2 with the printing ink layer 3a facing downward.
The top is lightly pressed to remove air between the gel coat layer 2 and the transfer paper 3 to bring the transfer paper 3 into close contact with the upper surface of the gel coat layer 2.
In the state shown in FIG. 2, the gel coat layer 2 is placed in a curing oven as it is, and the gel coat layer 2 is cured.
Of the release paper 3c, the printing ink layer 3a is transferred onto the gel coat layer 2, and the printing ink layer 3 is transferred onto the gel coat layer 2.
A good pattern due to a is formed. On the gel coat layer 2 on which the pattern is formed in this manner, a colored resin is applied by spraying as shown in FIG. 4 to form the colored resin layer 4.
In this state, the mold 1 is put into a curing oven to cure the colored resin layer 4.

After that, as shown in FIG. 5, FRP is applied on the colored resin layer 4 to form the FRP layer 5. This FRP
The layer 5 is a mixture of resin, glass fiber, and a curing agent, and forms the FRP layer 5 with an appropriate thickness to secure the overall strength. After the FRP layer 5 is cured, the entire mold is released from the mold 1 to complete the molding. That is, in this example, the transfer paper 3 is used, and the printing paper is not impregnated with the transparent gel coat resin as in the conventional case.
The defoaming work for impregnation can be omitted, and the transfer paper 3
Since the printing ink layer 3a can be easily transferred to the transparent gel coat layer 2 and the conventional defoaming work which takes a long time is unnecessary, the whole work can be facilitated and the work time can be shortened. it can. In addition, a material that does not easily grow, such as pulp or a film, can be selected and used for the transfer paper 3, and since the transfer paper 3 is not subjected to defoaming work and tension is not applied to the transfer paper 3, a pattern with high definition is obtained. It becomes possible to attach it to the gel coat layer 2, and it becomes possible to perform highly precise patterning.
