The seedling-growing container 3 shown in FIG. 6 has a cylindrical shape in which the main body 31 has a circular cross-sectional shape, the length is 2.5 times or more the diameter of the circular shape, and the internal volume is 100 to 200 cm 3. It is made of molded synthetic resin, and a taper taper is formed in the longitudinal direction of the main body 31, a flange 32 protruding outward is formed at the upper end, and a bottom plate at the lower end is formed as shown in FIG. The hole 33 as shown in FIG. This hole 3
No. 3 does not drop the soil in the main body 31, and
It is formed so that the roots grown in the main body 31 can extend outside the container. According to this container 3 for raising seedlings, less soil is required for raising seedlings, good root growth,
In addition, there is an advantage that workability of planting and survival after planting are good, and storage and transportation are efficient.

As a method for planting seedlings, there are a method of taking out the seedlings from the seedling raising container 3 and planting only the seedlings, and a method of planting the seedling raising container 3 without taking out the seedlings. The method of taking out the seedlings and planting them takes time and effort, but
Subsequent growth of seedlings will be good. The method of planting the whole seedling raising container 3 is simple in planting work, but since the root outlet of the grown seedling is only the hole 33 at the lower end of the seedling raising container 3, the growth of the seedling after planting is carried out for the raising seedling. It is inevitable that the seedlings will be worse than if they were taken out from the container 3 and planted.

The cylindrical body having a tapered taper of the main container preferably has a circular cross-sectional shape from the viewpoint of handling of the container itself and easiness of manufacturing, but other shapes such as an elliptical shape, It may be a quadrangle, a semicircle, or the like. The taper may form a uniform taper in the length direction, or may form a different taper in the length direction. The lower end of the tubular body is an open end or a perforated bottom plate so that grown roots can easily come out.

The opening of the lower peripheral wall of the tubular body is such that after growing seedlings are planted together with the main vessel without taking out the seedlings, the grown roots come out from the open end or the hole at the lower end of the tubular body and soil. It is formed so as to extend inward and extend from the opening of the lower peripheral wall to extend into the soil. The slit-shaped, zigzag-shaped, and mesh-shaped openings are formed substantially evenly around the entire circumference of the lower peripheral wall.

The sub-container is used by being attached to the lower part of the main container during seedling raising, that is, until planting. Since the lower end of the cylindrical body that is the main container is an open end or a perforated bottom plate, and openings are formed in the lower peripheral wall, irrigation of the main container leaks out from these openings, and cultivated soil drops out. To prevent this, attach a sub-container to the main container during seedling raising. When planting, remove the sub container from the main container and plant the seedlings together with the main container. The shape of the sub-container is formed so as to cover the lower end of the tubular body and the area of the opening of the lower peripheral wall in conformity with the shape of the lower portion of the tubular body of the main vessel.

Here, in order to prevent the sub-container from slipping out of the main container when the sub-container is attached to the main container, a concave portion or a convex portion is formed on the inner surface of the sub-container, and the sub-container is formed on the outer surface of the main container. The convex portion or the concave portion can be formed at a position corresponding to the concave portion or the convex portion on the inner surface of the container.

The container for raising seedlings of the present invention comprises a main container having an opening formed in the lower peripheral wall of a tubular body, and a bottomed sub-container formed so as to cover the area where the opening of the main container is formed. Thus, by mounting the sub-container on the main container during use, it can be used in the same manner as a conventional container for raising seedlings. At this time, by forming the concave and convex portions that are fitted to each other in the main container and the sub container, the main container and the sub container are elastically deformed to each other so that the concave portion and the convex portion are fitted to each other, and the sub container is prevented from falling off. To be done.

The seedling raising container of this embodiment comprises a main container 1 and a sub container 2 mounted on the main container 1. Main container 1
As shown in FIG. 1, eight slit-shaped openings 12 are formed in the lower peripheral wall of a synthetic resin cylindrical body 11 having a circular cross-sectional shape and a tapered two-step taper. . The cylindrical body 11 has a total length of about 20 cm, an upper inner diameter of about 4 cm, and an inner volume of about 180 cm 3 . In the case of cultivating strawberries or the like, by making the main container 1 a tubular body 11 having such a tapered taper, the growth of seedlings, particularly the growth of roots is good, and the roots grow straight downward. Less entanglement. The lower end of the tubular body 11 is a bottom plate with a hole 13, and a flange 14 is formed at the upper end.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the opening 12 is formed in the lower part of the tubular body 11 so that the roots of the seedlings can easily come out from the container into the soil after planting, and the lower part is tapered. In the portion 15, eight slit-shaped openings having a width of about 3 mm and a length of about 20 mm are evenly formed in the circumferential direction.

The seedling-growing container having the above structure is used by mounting the sub-container 2 on the main container 1 during seedling raising. Cylindrical body 1 of main container 1
The lower end of 1 is a bottom plate with a hole, and an opening 12 is formed in the lower peripheral wall. Therefore, unless the sub-container 2 is attached, irrigation into the main container 1 leaks from these openings, and
Although the burial soil may drop off, a chair may be attached to prevent leakage of irrigation water and the burial soil to fall off.
When the sub-container 2 is attached to the main container 1, the main container 1 and the sub-container 2 are formed with the protrusions 16 and the recesses 21 which are fitted to each other, so that the main container 1 and the sub-container 2 are elastically deformed from each other. The convex portion 16 and the convex portion 21 are fitted to each other, and the sub-container 2 does not fall out of the main container 1.

When starting raising seedlings, the main container 1 and the sub container 2
In the state of being attached, the main container 1 is filled with the soil, and, for example, in the case of strawberries, it is grown with the runner from the parent plant in contact with it, and leaves about 2 leaves ((a) in FIG. 4). ) To separate the runner, and then, as in the case of the conventional container for raising seedlings, hold the holding device as shown in FIG. 8 to raise the child seedlings, and after raising the seedlings to a predetermined size (Fig. 4 (b)), fixed planting is performed.

When carrying out planting, the sub-container 2 is removed from the main container 1, and the seedlings are planted together with the main container 1 without taking out from the main container 1. After planting, the grown roots emerge from the holes 13 at the lower end of the tubular body 11 and extend into the soil, and
Since it extends from the opening 12 in the lower peripheral wall and extends into the soil (Fig. 4
