Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a fiber for the artificial hair, used for decorating a head and having a more natural luster and a soft touch. CONSTITUTION: This fiber for the artificial hair comprises an acrylic polymer containing acrylonitrile in an amount of >=30wt.%, and has the cross section having three or more projections radially projected from a central connection part and a single fiber fineness of 25-75d. The surface of the fiber has groove- like projections and depressions parallel to the direction of the fiber, and the depressions among the depressions and the projections have an average depth of 0.05-0.7μm. The 15-40 depressions exist on the surface of the fiber at an arbitrary distance of 50μm on the outer peripheral line of the fiber. The fibers are subjected to a twisting processing treatment to form fiber bundles, which are used for hair-decorating articles such as wigs, hair pieces, braids, extension hairs or doll hairs.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, acrylic synthetic fibers or vinyl chloride synthetic fibers are often used as fibers for wigs and hairpieces. In the case of head ornaments, a matting operation is generally performed to bring the hair closer to human hair. For example, JP-B-56-44164, JP-A-56-309, and JP-A-56-311. Et al. Adopt a method of adjusting gloss by blending acrylic fiber with a metal compound or cellulose acetate. But,
When a metal compound such as titanium dioxide or aluminum hydroxide is used, there are problems that the luster unnaturally disappears and the transparency is deteriorated, and the feeling of roughness in touch is increased. In addition, the method using cellulose acetate has a drawback that the fiber surface becomes more rugged, resulting in a fiber having a hard touch even though the gloss is natural.

Improvements have also been made from a viewpoint different from the above, and Japanese Patent Publication No. 63-58926 and Japanese Patent Publication No. 1-248686.
Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 2003-242242 discloses a method of providing continuous node-shaped irregularities in the fiber axis direction. Although these fibers were excellent in terms of gloss, they were suitable for a rigid straight style, lacked a soft feel, and were difficult to manufacture.

The polymer constituting the fiber for artificial hair of the present invention must contain at least 30% by weight of acrylonitrile, and if it is less than 30% by weight, the heat resistance of the fiber becomes poor. In addition to acrylonitrile, a vinyl-based monomer copolymerizable with acrylonitrile may be used for copolymerization. The copolymerizable vinyl monomer, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, vinyl bromide, vinylidene bromide, acrylic acid ester, methacrylic acid ester, acrylamide, methacrylamide, or their mono- or dialkyl-substituted, acrylic acid, Methacrylic acid, itaconic acid, styrene sulfonic acid, methallyl sulfonic acid, methacryl oxybenzene sulfonic acid, methacryl oxypropyl sulfonic acid, or these metal salts and ammonium and amine salts, glycidyl acrylate, glycidyl methacrylate, allyl glycidyl ether, Examples include methallyl glycidyl ether. Among these, vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride are preferred, and styrene sulfonic acid and methallyl sulfonic acid are preferably used in small amounts.

In order to obtain groove-shaped irregularities parallel to the fiber axis direction in the present invention, it can be produced by adding a rubber-like polymer such as epichlorohydrin rubber, polyvinyl acetate, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and the like. Polyvinyl acetate is preferable from the viewpoint of stably obtaining the desired uneven shape. Further, as the rubber-like polymer, a polymer soluble in the solvent used in the stock solution for spinning the acrylic polymer should be selected from the viewpoint of operation. The amount of rubbery polymer added is
The amount of 0.5% by weight or more with respect to the total amount of the acrylic polymer and the rubber-like polymer can sufficiently achieve the object, but even if the amount is increased to about 1 to 5% by weight to adjust the gloss. It doesn't matter. However, 5% by weight of rubbery polymer
If added in excess, the surface roughness may become excessive depending on the type of the acrylic polymer, and the feeling such as roughening may be deteriorated, so the addition amount is preferably 0.5 to 5.0% by weight.

In the artificial hair fiber of the present invention, the depth of the recesses in the groove-shaped irregularities parallel to the fiber axis is 0.05 on average.
Although it is ~ 0.7 μm, in terms of smoothing the feel,
An average of 0.2 to 0.5 μm is preferable. The presence of the recesses reduces the contact area between the fibers or between the fibers and the hand, and provides a smooth feel. The depth of the recess is 0.0
If it is less than 5 μm, it is sticky, and if it exceeds 0.7 μm, it is greasy. Also, any 5 of the outer circumference of the fiber
15-40 recesses are required at 0 μm intervals. If the number of recesses is less than this, there is a sticky feeling, and if it is too large, there is a greasy feeling.

The single yarn fineness of the artificial hair fiber of the present invention is 25 to 75 d. When the fineness is less than 25 d, the hair is too soft and has no stiffness, and the bulkiness of the artificial hair is poor. On the other hand, if it is thicker than 75d, the rigidity of the fiber becomes strong, it is difficult to process it into a product such as a blade, and the feeling of touch becomes unnatural, so it is necessary to select an appropriate fineness. The range of 25 to 45 d is preferable in the sense that importance is attached to the feeling.

In producing the fiber of the present invention, it is desirable to use a spinning nozzle having a cross-sectional shape having three or more projecting portions radially projecting from one central connecting portion. Such a spinning nozzle is preferable. When a fiber is manufactured using, the cross-sectional shape as shown in FIGS. 3 (a) to 3 (d) can be obtained, but crimping such as Giar crimp is applied to form a substantially wavy fiber bundle. In this case, the cross-sectional shape having a smaller number of protrusions tends to be relatively bulky, and the case where there are three protrusions has the largest volume.

The crimping process referred to in the present invention is, for example, a Giar crimp system in which fibers are sandwiched between two gear-shaped rolls to continuously give a corrugated shape, or a fiber heated by steam is stuffed in a stuffing box. It refers to a method or the like for continuously pushing into a shape such as to give a corrugated shape. By these methods, the repeating unit of the peak and the valley is usually 5 to 15 pieces in a linear distance of 100 mm, and the sum of the height of the peak and the depth of the valley is usually 5 to 5.
By giving the corrugated shape of 12 mm, a fiber bundle in which the post-processability of the wig, the blade, the hair piece, etc. is significantly improved can be obtained.

<Example 3> Using the same copolymer resin as in Example 1, a spinning solution was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1 and spun in a 30% by weight aqueous acetone solution. As the nozzle, a round hole φ30 × 100H was used. The conditions such as stretching are the same as in Example 1. The cross-sectional shape of this fiber was horseshoe-shaped (see FIG. 4). The depth of the groove-shaped concave and convex portions parallel to the fiber axis on the surface of this fiber was 0.4 μm on average, and 25 to 35 concave portions were provided at arbitrary 50 μm intervals on the outer peripheral line of the fiber. With respect to this fiber, a blade product similar to that in Example 1 was prepared and evaluated in the same manner. The results are shown in Table 1. Although this fiber is excellent in terms of touch and gloss, it has no feature in bulkiness.

Example 4 A copolymer resin containing 52% by weight of acrylonitrile, 47% by weight of vinylidene chloride and 1% by weight of sodium styrenesulfonate was dissolved in acetone to prepare a spinning dope of 30% by weight. Polyvinyl acetate (Goshenil Y-2 manufactured by Nippon Synthetic Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.) was mixed in the spinning dope in an amount of 3.0% by weight with respect to 97% by weight of the resin. After mixing well, the mixture was spun into a 30 wt% acetone aqueous solution. The obtained fiber was stretched 2 times with the solvent remaining, and then dried at 125 ° C.,
It was heat-stretched 2.5 times and further subjected to relaxation heat treatment at 150 ° C. The same spinning nozzle as in Example 1 was used. The cross section of this fiber was substantially Y-shaped, and the single yarn fineness was 32d. When the surface structure of the obtained fiber was measured using a scanning electron microscope and a three-dimensional surface analyzer, the depth of the groove-shaped concave and convex portions parallel to the fiber axis direction was 0.2 μm on average,
It had 17 to 25 recesses at arbitrary 50 μm intervals on the outer circumference of the fiber. With respect to this fiber, a blade product similar to that in Example 1 was prepared and evaluated in the same manner. The results are shown in Table 1. This fiber is a fiber in which the amount of polyvinyl acetate added is increased as compared with Example 1, but the same evaluation result as in Example 1 was obtained.
