Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable loading or unloading of a suction grill and an air filter easily and quickly without requiring any chair or stand by pivoting a lower part of the suction grill being rotatable about a shaft extending horizontally to allow opening thereof downward. CONSTITUTION: A lower part of a suction grill 20 is pivoted at a lower part of the main body 19 being rotatable about a shaft 22 extending horizontally in substance to allow opening thereof downward. As the suction grill 20 is turned downward about the shaft 22, the suction grill 20 is inverted and lowered downward to be maintained as it is. Forward exposing of an air filter 21 also helps allow removing of the air filter 21 from the suction grill 20 with two hands easily and quickly using neither a chair nor a stand. The suction grill 20 can be removed from the main body 19 by lifting it.

A suction grill (10) is rotatably supported around a shaft (12) on the upper front surface of a main body (19). A heat exchanger 3 is disposed inside the main body 19 so as to face the suction grille 10, a flow-through fan 4 is disposed downstream of the heat exchanger 3, and an air filter 9 is disposed upstream thereof. In the conventional wall-mounted air conditioner, however, the upper portion of the suction grill 10 is rotatably supported by the upper front portion of the main body 19 about the horizontal shaft 12, so that the suction grill 10 is not supported. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been invented to solve the above-mentioned problems, and the gist of the present invention is that it is sucked through a suction grill that is openably and closably attached to the front surface of the main body. DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT One embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. The suction grill 20 is rotatably supported on both sides of the lower portion thereof about a shaft 22 extending substantially horizontally on both lower sides of the front surface of the main body 19 and is opened downward. An air filter 21 is detachably attached to the back surface of the suction grill 20. Reference numeral 13 is an air intake provided on the front surface of the main body 19.

As shown in FIG. 1B, a groove 23 that opens upward is provided at the tip of an arm 24 projecting forward from the main body 19, and a shaft 22 fixed to the lower portion of the suction grill 20 is fitted into this groove 23. If inserted, after opening the suction grill 20, the suction grill 20 can be removed from the main body 19 by lifting the suction grill 20 upward in this state and pulling the shaft 22 upward from the groove 23.

Although the suction grille 20 is pivotally supported on both sides thereof, it may be pivotally supported at three or four or more locations on both sides and the center. The other structure is the same as that of the conventional one shown in FIG.

When the suction grill 20 is rotated downward about the shaft 22, however, the suction grill 20 is inverted as shown in the drawing and descends downward to be maintained in this state. Since the air filter 21 is exposed to the front, the air filter 21 can be easily and quickly removed from the suction grille 20 with both hands without using a chair or a stepladder. Further, if the suction grill 20 is lifted, it can be removed from the main body 19.

When the cleaning or replacement of the air filter 21 is completed or the cleaning of the suction grill is completed, these can be attached by performing the reverse operation to the above.

According to the present invention, since the lower portion of the suction grill is rotatably supported on the lower portion of the main body so as to be rotatable about an axis extending horizontally, the lower portion can be opened downward. It descends downward and is maintained in this state. Therefore, the suction grill and the air filter can be easily and quickly attached and detached without requiring a chair or stepladder.

A wall-mounted air conditioner in which indoor air sucked through a suction grill attached to the front surface of a main body so as to be opened and closed flows out through an air filter, a heat exchanger, and a fan in this order, A wall-mounted air conditioner characterized in that the lower part of the suction grill is rotatably supported on the lower part of the main body about an axis extending horizontally and can be opened downward. 2. The wall-mounted air conditioner according to claim 1, wherein the suction grill is detachably supported by the main body. 3. The wall-mounted air conditioner according to claim 1, wherein the air filter is detachably attached to the back surface of the suction grill.
